Rice Tales

Had the chicken with sweet & spicy sauce. Pretty bland tasting with only white rice available, no fried rice or noodles. The lady actually advised against ginger sauce due to "no flavor" so even they don't believe in their product. Not really worth the $15, but it's airport food so par for the course.Food: 1/5

Wow. What a lovely establishment. Was craving some good rice and got what I wanted. Lady who serviced me went above and beyond. She is an excellent example of customer service excellence. The food was great too, seasones nicely and plenty of flavour. For what it is, very well done. Highly recommend this spot for any traveller looking for a meal while they wait for their next flight. Genuinely suprised this spot isnt at least 4/5.

This is fast food place in the C-gates area at the Vancouver’s International Airport. Judging by the line up, it is popular with the travellers. They have several options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. You select the meat, rice/ noodles and the sauces. I ordered chicken with curry and ginger sauces. It was good. The meat comes with carrots and celery. The prices are reasonable and service is good.

Great healthier alternative to all the fast food in the airport. The cashier is very kind and is happy to provide recommendations. Will definitely be going back next time I am in YVR.

The quality isn't the best, but it's hard to get decent price and quantity at airports, rice was fresh but the other ingredients were less so. The sauce is generic sauce from the store, way to set to my taste.

The food is significantly more expensive than the sign. There is barely any sauce, the vegetables are sparse and cut with an axe rather than any kind of bite sized pieces. There was a decent amount of meat, but overall this was terrible.Food: 1/5

Please do NOT eat here. Waste of money, food is garbage. I ordered rice, chicken mixed veg with teriyaki sauce. The chicken taste odd. The veg were mainly cabbage and peppers. Nothing to it : Disgusting. They charge extra for broccoli too!!

I'd give it 0 star if Google allowed, one of the worst food kind ever. Arrogant lady behind the counter who should just quit right now. Serving literally flavoured sauces with rice in the name of curries. I ordered black bean and I was served a black sauce. I hope the airport authority just uproot this eating place.Food: 1/5

I should have checked the reviews... On my way to my connecting flight home and I was pretty hungry, so I thought I would try this place for the first time. I decided to buy the chicken/rice dish and I was super disappointed with the quality... The rice wasn't even cooked properly - super crunchy & dry. The chicken pieces weren't even properly fried. I have eaten at most of the places here at YVR, but I will say to avoid any of the asian food restaurants. It's a total waste of money and the food isn't even properly cooked.

I am not sure why people don’t enjoy this place. I certainly didn’t mind it. Food tasted acceptable! Rice and noodles, can be fried. There are quite a few options. There is a little wait, as it is quite busy. The price is also tolerable. It is a airport after all. It’s the location and service which makes it a memorable visit.
