I’m here several times a month. The staff are phenomenal, and efficient. The seating is comfortable, with the Movie club subscription that offers free refills on large pop/popcorn and heavily discounted tickets I’m able to take my kids multiple times a month depending on what’s playing. They offer extra cups and bags to make dishing out pop and popcorn to 3 kids easy.nnSadly the theatre only has 4 screens and we don’t get the variety of movies that Nanaimo gets. But I’m not factoring that into my review as it’s not in the establishments control.
First time here after a year in the valley and really pleasantly surprised! The recliners are quite luxurious, fully electric reclining and 3-4 feet in front of us before hitting the next row. Prices were on par with most other theatres IMO and the staff were all really nice and helpful. Would most certainly return!
Butter for popcorn was 1.50 extra. And only for a tablespoon of butter. Absolute insanity. Otherwise, staff seemed friendly and seats were nice. Tickets were quite expensive, but I could have expected that, who expects popcorn to not come with butter?
i like watching movies here. staff is always welcoming and nice. screen is big for our small town..sound is great..seats comfy..nntheir movie selection is appalling…for like 3 weeks straight right now they haven•Mufasan•Sonic 3n•wickedn•moana 2nnthat’s it..for 3 weeks straightnnwhile Nosferatu 2nd highest grossing R rated movie released on christmas ever does not have a planned showtime.nnand this is a pretty usual problem, forgoing critically acclaimed movies for the “safe shooting” generic movie.nnwhen y’all had godzilla minus one in your theater i went on a weekday and it was a packed theaternnhave some faith in your community and give us at least one film for people who like to watch slightly more interesting movies.
I have never walked out of a movie before but when I was watching smile 2, there was a group of either drunk women or teenage girls I make that assumption based on their immature behaviour who would NOT stop talking or laughing, we could hear their whole conversation and they were even blatantly using their phones during the movie not even low brightness which was INCREDIBLY distracting. It seemed like they picked EVERY SINGLE TENSE MOMENT to start BEING LOUD. Multiple people were shushing them and they did not stop, I was so frustrated I had to leave. I wish there was a way for the theater to crack down on disruptive behavior, that was singlehandedly the worse theater experience I've ever had. I wish I could get a refund, but I know I can't. Really disappointing because I was excited to watch this movie. Oh and there was a hole in the roof? Unrelated but it made the trashy experience ever trashier.
