My wife and I made appointments to get our vaccine booster for 5 pm on a Friday. We arrived just ahead of our appointment. The three staff there were obviously busy and visibly stressed. We waited for 15 min before the pharmacist, Paul, came over to administer the shots. He said nothing. No hello. No “have a seat”. Nothing. All he did was mutter under his breath to himself as he gave the needles. There was no confirmation of our info. He didn’t ask about our past reactions. He shoved the needle in my wife’s arm and stood there waiting for her to leave. She sat there waiting for a small bandage to be applied in case of bleeding. None was given so she got up and I moved in. The needle was applied high on my arm compared to all other shots and when he removed the needle the liquid dribbled down my arm. So not sure if I got a full dose or not. He simply stated that the vaccine certificate info was emailed to us and that was it. He was gone. He did not ask us to wait to see if there was a negative reaction to the vaccine which we found odd given it is a new variant vaccine. When leaving I asked the cashier about Paul to see if he was the owner. He is not. I mentioned we were not impressed with our experience and was told that they are busy and stressed. Well aren’t we all. I’ve been in customer service and sales my whole life. In my opinion this person should not be in a public-facing job. I know that there are some very friendly pharmacy staff there so it’s disappointing to write this but we won’t be back for anything more than stuff we buy in the store.
Very bad service. We came 5 minutes early for our flu shot appointment and we were made to wait for almost an hour. The pharmist did not mention that he was experiencing issue with my wife's card, right until my wife asked why is it taking too long for a flu shot. My kids and mum were also there waiting.And sadly, I have to cancel the appointment as I have another appointment to go. No apologies was said from that man. Wasted my time and effort.
I don't know but sometimes you can have just the worst experience in this pharmacy, must be the overall culture. From the pharmacist to the cashiers....rarely friendly and think nothing of being out right rude to customers. Not for me.
Pharmacists and pharmacy assistants are great people. Always super kind and helpful. Sure the place is busy, but it's not far from king street and within waking distance from like a dozen apartment buildings one of which I live in. Other staff are really nice too. I've honestly never had an unpleasant experience in this store. My only complaint would be more for the chain in general, just that the website doesn't have stock and prices on items, would be nice to be able to check sales in advance. Otherwise great location

Absolute worst pharmacy ever. So unprofessional. So rushed. Went here for covid vaccines and the pharmacist didn’t even ask or tell us which vaccine was available or what was being administered until the very last second when asked to confirm. Didn’t ask which dosage we are requiring. Nothing. Once administered he walked away with no words and did not come back to confirm that we are all set or to give us any information on needing to wait or anything. Highly unprofessional and make the experience of getting these vaccines very unpleasant and unwelcoming. Will not return.
I will not be returning to the Rexall on Belmont, in Kitchener....this is the 2nd time that I have observed the 2 cashiers speaking about a customer, with hushed voices, thinking no one was observing them. The location is close to home and within walking distance, but I will not continue to support such an unprofessional and disrespectful business.
Manager I believe she is new was incredibly rude and condescending to me when I was checking out. I never write negative reviews or any reviews really, but this experience made me make the effort. There was no reason for her to speak to me that way. Don’t go to this store!!
The pharmacy staff are rude and unhelpful and give incorrect information. They did not include the information slip with my new prescription medication, and when I called to inquire about this and a side effect I was experiencing, they ignored this entirely and claimed that was not a side effect of the medication - even though it very much is specifically listed as a side-effect as I found out by looking up the product monograph myself afterwards, and I verified this with a doctor afterwards. They did not understand and refused to believe me what condition I was taking the medication for as prescribed by a doctor and recommended in treatment guidelines which was part of why they were so misinformed in responding to me and they insisted I must be taking it for a different condition which is more common, clearly very misinformed. They were quite rude about it and never addressed that they did not give me the information slip.
Lost my online account and all prescriptions I had with them.
