Was just charged $100 for a steak and a seafood broil with calamari and a side of pasta. The cut of meat was full of fat and no flavor. It was covered in fried onion rings that you can get in the frozen section at Walmart. There was about a cup of calamari on a whole bed of lettuce. The pasta had generic sauce and tasted like a side dish for a kids meal. No problems paying for a quality meal, but this was far from being anything that I would order again. Would not recommend…2/10
My mother's salad was drowning in Italian dressing. Mine was all right with the French dressing. They only had two small tomatoes one yellow pepper and a piece of radish and the rest was lettuce. Waited a half hour for our pasta meals. The sauce was disgusting the meatballs were lukewarm and the waitress wasn't very nice! Bad review will not be returning
Everything was great! Owners are awesome. We made a reservation online, and when we got there, they didn't have us reserved. Come to find out, they don't have online reservations. Apparently GOOGLE, puts their 2 cents in it and puts in RESERVE A TABLE. None the less, they did their damdest to get us a table on Valentines, when they were booked solid. So I really give them a 10 STAR! PLEASE CALL FOR ANY RESERVATIONS!!!!!
I love eating at Rex's! I'm a diabetic and I can order a salad with 2 meataballs and it's AMAZING! MY HUSBAND ORDERED THE PASTAS and he thinks the sauce is homemade, I do to. I am Italian American and their food reminds me of my grandmas sauce! There is NO PLACE as good as Rex's here in CNY. The place in Ithaca, tastes like the Olive Garden to me. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Fantastic!
Amazing food. I had eggplant parm. Yummy. Lived battered pickles and onion rings. My son had ravioli with mushrooms. Two sisters are owners. Great food . Nice art. Thanks for a great time!!!
I visit Rex’s almost weekly and it never disappoints. Their Famous Chicken Salad is the best salad in town!! Great atmosphere and phenomenal service. Couldn’t recommend Rex’s enough!!
Excellent service, incredible food, delicious drinks, they covered all the bases. Come hungry as the portions are generous and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.
Rex’s Pasta was the greatest find on my trip to the Finger Lakes. Best food. Best ingredients. I am blown away by the flavor. I had the Escargot and Mushroom Medallions pasta my husband had the gnocchi. Our appetizers were the fried Ravioli. Above and beyond our expectations. Excellent service. Great place, we will go out of our way to come back.
I've been here a few other times when it wasn't after a funeral. The food is always amazing! The times before I wasn't vegan, so I ate spaghetti and meatballs before, I think. I'm trying to remember what I had. Ravioli. Fettuccine Alfredo. No matter what I had, every time it was really good! Italians sure know how to cook! Vegetarian options: I went to a lunch after a funeral, so everything was pre-made and chosen by the family. The only vegetarian options were bread and a salad with onions in it, but as soon as I told Heather, one of the owners, that I had an onion allergy she went in the back and made me my own salad. And I didn't have to go to her to tell her. She was helping me with my plate because I'm disabled. That's how nice they are at Rex's. The salad she made me was huge! She also added banana peppers and sliced almonds to my salad which made it so nice and flavorful. I was excited. Mmm. How do you excite a vegan? Make them a huge salad! I ate the whole thing, it was so delicious! And it was so nice of her to do that for me. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. The other owner is a mom. Parking: Tons of parking on the side, out front in the Groton Ave. Plaza. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, you can get a wheelchair in the front door or side door and maneuver around inside. Dietary restrictions: No matter what dietary restrictions you have, they have something for you and will help you to find it and order. Everyone is so friendly there. Nice family restaurant! Great Italian food.
