Revelstoke Railway Museum

What an amazing museum for a wonderful price. My family of 6 came for a little over $30 on Mother’s Day and the highlights were definitely going inside the train, the numerous train models, operating the controls though the machine was not working when we came, and the moving train model upstairs! 10/10 would recommend as it has activities for all ages!

I had an amazing experience visiting the Revelstoke Railway Museum! Getting to see real trains up close, touch them, and explore the controls was such a surreal and exciting moment. Although I arrived near closing time, Valentina was kind enough to let me in for a quick visit. She warmly welcomed me, shared some interesting insights about the museum, and even mentioned the train simulator—which I’m definitely coming back to try! I can’t wait to return and take it all in properly with more time. Huge thanks to Valentina—she’s truly wonderful and made my visit unforgettable!

Must visit for railway enthusiasts. The steam engine is amazing. The volunteer inside the cabin of the engine was so informative. He didn't rush through anything, he explained everything in detail. Really friendly. Overall the staff was very good. The exhibits were well maintained.

We loved reading about the history of the CPR. The displays were wonderful. I loved going on to the rail car and seeing the old menus in the dining car.nAs a bonus, a train came through while we were on our way out. It was awesome to be that close to a train after learning more about the history of the railroad in Revelstoke.
