Wanted to try somewhere different than our regular delivery spots and was so happy we did. Family got pizza, wrap and falafel for dinner. Prices reasonable, delivery timely and food was the best smelling delivery package ever. We devoured our meals with delight and look forward to our next meal.
This place was an awesome last minute find! The food was exactly what we all were looking for. A feat in itself with three of us, including a sullen teenager, having entirely different cravings last night lol! The entirely seperate vegetarian menu is dynamite & topped off with great service we cannot wait to return. Especially will be worth it if they bring in that chai tea I had a hankering for Vegetarian options: An entirely seperate full veggiesaurus menu! Parking: Parking behind the building. Turn from Wellington to Surrey then right on Neeve. Easy to access so long as you know where to go! Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped but smooth walkway from parking to building front.
I’ve had a lot of Lebanese food in my time. This was the worst. The meat had little to no seasoning, and was very dry. The rice was old, dried out, and tough. You can get a better meal for less money pretty much anywhere else in Guelph. The side salad was good though. In the spirit of constructive feedback, two things could be changed that would make the meal enjoyable. 1. Marinate and season the meat. Then don’t grill it to death. 2. Prepare new rice for each dinner service, don’t just keep the stuff you made at noon.
Me and my family love this place! The rice and spices are amazing, the wraps full and delicious, and the garlic sauce and hummus are *drinkable* we want more!. A must-add to your order is the fried halloumi - I've never tasted it quite like that with the sweet glaze. Yum :
had a fabulous dinner a few weeks ago. our server saige knew about the wine served and helped me pick one that i would like and to go with my meal. my boyfriend and i were very happy with our food as well as the service. our server saige was fantastic and took care of us during our time there. will recommend and come back.
Absolutely delicious. The flavours are out of this world. First time eating here and will surely be back. Must get the sujek wrap a bit salty but worth it and the moutabbal and hummus both are the best in town. My young kids devoured the lentil soup too! Can’t wait to return.Recommended dishesMoutabbal
The food served was ok .I went here due to the high rating. The server had no knowledge of Lebanese food . The fattoush salad did not have the pomegranate dressing served and we had to request for it. The bread that was served was cold and from a supermarket store. Parking: Parking had only 2 slots and the rest were at a distance from the restaurant
We have been thinking about checking out this place ever since they opened, and finally did so. I am surprised we took so long to put this restaurant in our "support local / Support Small business" list, but it is now officially making its way into our regular rotation. We ordered two meals - Tawook plate, and the Kafta Plate. Both came with salad, and sides and everything were very plentiful. The food has excellent flavour profiles with lots of seasonings and spices. The flavours are so good. I couldn't finish my meal because there was so much. We ordered over the phone and picked up our order to ensure we did a minimal contact transaction. The people were very nice and friendly. The transaction was very uneventful and smooth. Since the Covid-19 pandemic started, we have made more substantial efforts to take out orders from local restaurants, specifically SMALL, family-run businesses, to help do our part to support these small businesses during tough times. Roguetrippers typically order take out once but sometimes twice a week. We avoid using any food delivery companies to ensure that the money goes back to the restaurant, and no commissions to the delivery company. Retour Bistro in Guelph is a fantastic place to grab a meal. Amazing food, great options, small business, and great people. We will be ordering from Retour Bistro many more times in the future. the above review is from our first visit, We have ordered again and had the Half Family Meal which is amazing and so much food.
Today was my second time having dinner at Retour Bistro. The food is delicious and the portions are plenty. This is a great hidden restaurant in Guelph and a must! Service is also great and prompt.Food: 5/5
During this time of Covid, I felt super comfortable walking in. They have spacing everywhere, for customers to wait. The customer service was fantastic. The gentleman I spoke with said he likes to ensure a customer's food is as fresh as possible, which is why my earliness had me wait for my food, for the time I said I'd pick up at which was 6:00pm. The vegan menu is fantastic also. I ordered the pizza with walnuts and also the vegan chicken dish. This may be my go to place for date nights with my wife.
