Restaurant L'Huile d'Olive

Heard the place had excellent food and excellent service. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because after sitting there for 40 minutes, the waitress still hadn't taken our food order or come back to our table after bringing us one glass of wine each, so we left. The evening cost over $25 for the "2" glasses of wine, plus the price of gas to get there and the uncomfortable drive through all the pot holes on the back roads you have to take .....and we ended up having to go somewhere else to eat.

What a great dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful. With all of the windows looking over 31 mile lake, watching the night sky darken as we were dining was so peaceful. The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. There is no language barrier either. Our waitress was completely bilingual. I always look forward to coming back.

A first of many visits to come! I enjoyed a fantastic patio breakfast overlooking 31 mile lake; such an amazing view! From the food to the quality service and staff, I could not have been more pleased with the whole experience! I had "The 31 Mile Breakfast," the quality, presentation, taste, and portion sizes were impeccable, great value with the added bonus of a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere!

Amazing experience. This is the definition of a hidden gem! The food wax excellent, homemade bread was a fabulous surprise. Highly recommend.

Kudos to the chef. The means are so flavourful. Worth the drive from Ottawa.
