Best Thai food in Montreal! This has been one of my favorite Asian restaurants in the city for a while. I was always curious about whether the food was authentic or not ... I just came back from Thailand where I not only ate but also took cooking classes to learn Thai cuisine and let me tell you - the food at Chao Phraya is totally authentic! I even preferred it to the food that I ate in Thailand :) The décor is warm as well and the atmosphere is friendly, and family oriented. Recommend to anyone who likes Thai cuisine! BTW: I couldn't disagree more with the comments about the restaurant being overpriced - pricing is totally average for Montreal and you get enormous portions made to order!

Most delicious Thai food option in Montréal. Accidentally discovered this location on a walk, went inside, and instantly fell in love through flavors. Amazingly welcoming staff, and very helpful. I’ll be coming back here often for my Thai food fix. If you appreciate authentic Thai flavor, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Love this thai restaurant but ate at the restaurant saturday febuary 24th. We were a party of 4 and of the whole party only me and my sister were sick we shared the peanut chicken and pad thai. My sisters bf also ate the pad thai and was not sick. So its obvious it was the peanut chicken was the contaminated dish. So disappointing because the food is good.

The place feels very warm and cozy, especially for a winter evening. Staff was good too! I ordered a sea food soup. Size was smaller than expected, but it was very tasty, so overall it was a great experience.
