Eastern township gem! The food is great , generous, unpretentious, quality ingredients and very tasty.nThe wine list has a great bottle selection of natural wines from Bornard, st-Pierre, Saron, Riss and Octavin to name a few. Lots of wine by the glass options as well.
The place was busy but they managed to squeeze us in. The appetizers were wonderful and perfectly sized for sharing. The larger plates are filling on their own. Everything was impeccable. Very clean and professional kitchen. I highly recommend and can't wait until I return! Also, they have a table with 4 seats that is in the kitchen which you can reserve for a very unique experience.
Babar is a great Lebanese cuisine restaurant with amazing service. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they all seem happy to work there. They were very attentive without being annoying and they felt relaxed, they made us feel very comfortable. Our waitress was Maya, she was great. Will definitely be back! Cauliflower was really good and if you want to try eating with Arak the typical Lebanese drink we would 100% recommend it!!
We stumbled upon Babar while strolling through town and decided to give it a try due to the wonderful reviews. Well, we couldn't have been more pleased with our late lunch outdoor dining experience. First of all, the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and kind. With the menu only being in French, and my French being limited to hockey player names, we welcomed his detailed item by item descriptions. The food was simply outstanding...from the salad to the red pepper humus to the flank steak board. Flavors were complex, very complementary, and thoroughly enjoyable. It was the final meal of our Quebec province visit, and it was quite worthy of that status.
Delicious food, explosion of flavours, fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation and exceptional service! Their cocktail menu is quite interesting. The atmosphere was great - we truly enjoyed our experience.
