Boyfriend and I had such a lovely time here. We got a seat on the upper level which is a bit quieter and cozier, really nice spot.nThe serving staff were attentive and warm throughout.nnWe ordered two cocktails, one being the Barbara Sour I think that’s the name and honestly it was really good. Multiple layers of flavour, well balanced. Only thing I’d say is we could’ve used a touch more alcohol in both but that’s a minor gripe.nnStarted with the falafels and they were amazing. Came with what I’m pretty sure was homemade pita bread and if it was, they need to make more of it. So fluffy, so soft, just really really good. Good size too!nnWe also had the octopus and the lamb. Both done really nicely, would highly recommend either. Portions were generous too which is always appreciated. Ordered a red to pair with everything and it just worked perfectly.nnFinished with the crème brûlée which had a hint of orange peel running through it. Such a good touch, elevated the whole thing.nGenuinely had an amazing time. Easy 10 out of 10.
Went there for a Saturday afternoon lunch while visiting the eastern townships. The place is nicely decorated with minimalistic style. We had the Trio de trempettes, Fattouche, Cauliflower and Grilled Octopus. The quality of the food, the presentation and the service were impeccable. Definitely recommend trying it out. Make sure to make reservation as they have limited seating.
Amazing place! Vibes on point, service is top notch and the FOOD! Oh the food. We got the shawarma platter to share as well as the three dips and fattoush salad. Chicken was so tender, potatoes and garlic sauce were heavenly and the pitas were so soft and fresh! Would definitely be my number one recommendation for anyone who comes to Bromont! Will be back to try the octopus!
Simply delicious food! The quality, taste and textures of everything from the hint of nuttiness and smoothness of their hummus to the tenderness of the various meats in the mixed grill for two not on the menu but just ask! were as good if not better than any Lebanese/Mediterranean resto in Montreal. All that chicken,lamb and filet mignon sat on a bed of the most unique and possibly, best fried rice I’ve ever had. We finished the meal off with a Baklava with a Canadian twist coated in maple syrup instead of honey and it was phenomenal! As great as the food was, the service was even better! Maddie our server could teach courses on how to operate a successful wait staff. Her attention to every detail was simply on point. We were in Bromont for the weekend but I would drive the hour from downtown Montreal just to eat here again.
LOVE Babar - worth the drive every time. Incredible quality and very generous portions. Excellent wine list and always the perfect recommendations and storytelling from Guillaume. We love you Babar!
