A cute spot near the city of Cowansville. We went on the day of the eclipse so as you can imagine, it was PACKED. Our server told us there were so many people that day that their small town grew to over 10,000 more people that day!nnThat all said, you're here to see if the food is good. The food was alright. I feel like on the busiest day they've probably ever had it's not fair to judge the quality when they didn't expect so many people so I'm sure it's probably better when it's not super busy, but it was just okay, as some tapas were definitely better than others. Everything is meant to be shared, so make sure everyone at the table more/less agrees on the menu. Overall, a good experience.nnI will say though, the lava cake was SUPERB!
The service and people are really great. The food is tasty, however the portions are extremely small.nnThe meat was slightly overcooked, however we were a large group over 30 people, so it's understandable. The service was very quick, which was much appreciated.nnI would recommend more transparency on the menu, perhaps a hint towards portion sizes, i.e. ounces of meat in a dish.
My wife and I and another couple visited had a late lunch at Bistro 633 in Bromont, Quebec. We visited during the course of the annual Bromont Art Festival at the end of August every year.nEven though the streets were packed, there was comfortable seating available outside at this Bistro. We were served in both English and French and they have menus in both languages for the convenience of their customers. I noticed that on one of the chalkboards mounted in the restaurant an extensive selection of red and white wines, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. My wife ordered the gaspacho soup followed by mussels and fries. The mussels were served out of their shells in a Tuscany sauce which was excellent. I ordered a standard green salad as a starter, followed by a croque-monsieur which was very good. All the dishes were served promptly and were hot and tasty.nThis is a restaurant not to be missed if you’re ever in the Bromont area of Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
Friendly staff and mostly delicious food. Food was a bit hit or miss for us.nnShrimp and chorizo tacos were great.nPorto pancetta risotto was amazing.nBaked Brie was a bit too sweet for our preference but still good.nTuna tataki was good.nDidn't care much for veggie curry, needed more flavour.n4 cheese pasta was very disappointing, very watery sauce and no flavor at all.nnGreat vibe on the terrace! Lovely plants and seating!nDidn't enjoy the indoor seating as much. Bit loud & tall tables with bar stools
Food was really good. Definitely a very good price for the quality. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. Very friendly and cozy atmosphere. They advertise themselves as a tapas place but a lot of the dishes are plenty of food for one person.
