Came here on a Friday night in May. Place was very busy with takeout orders. Staff was pleasant and the food was tasty. We shared beef tacos and battered fish tacos as well. Food was good. Could not have accompanying adult beverage as none were for sale. I mean this place is probably a 3-star, but the ambiance was warm and got me thinking that in time it will get better for sure. I guess it’s a vote of confidence of what’s ahead for this convenient Mexican restaurant with a street food feel. Thank you!
Didn't had any plans tonight decided to visit this Mexican restaurants as per good reviews and seriously similar to what I've tasted back in Veracruz. Feels like a good home style cookingFood: 4/5
Overly priced for tiny portions. And ridiculously overly spicy. I couldn’t even finish my meal because it was so spicy. I waited 40 minutes for 4 tiny tacos, a tiny serving of plantains, and a tiny serving of beans. I truly cannot fathom where these 5 star reviews come from maybe from people not familiar with Latino food?. I’ve had authentic Mexican food before that tasted better and I’ve even made better myself. My Latina mother-in-law makes way better plantain and beans for a fraction of the price and she doesn’t even consider herself a big cook.
First and last time coming here. Waited nearly 30 min for a simple order. 2 quesadillas and 1 order of tacos came to $30 including tip. I felt absolutely robbed due to how ridiculously small the portions are. Bite sized portions with little filling in the tortillas. Save your money and go dine elsewhere
This place was great. I had the al pastor tacos, which were served still hot, with a generous portion of meat, onions and coriander. It was well spiced, and the two sauces green and red were flavorful. The ambiance is really quaint too, has a nice hole-in-the-wall atmosphere thats perfect for a casual date or hang out with friends.
Extremely disappointing. When you come in, you have to go over the menu, order at the counter, pay and go sit, they bring you the food when it’s ready. Waited 50 minutes to get my food, very small portion and something I could have definitely made myself at home, nothing authentic, especially for the price they charge.I would really recommend to save yourself the time and go somewhere else. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I tried. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the staff is friendly however, you do have to remind them when you ask for something as they tend to forget about you .
Nice little restaurant to try once or twice. Came in a group of 4 and ordered all the different tacos on the menu plus the guacamole appetizer. The guacamole was just avocado mashed together and fell a bit flat for us, no seasoning or zest. The nachos that came with it were good though. Of the 6 different tacos we tried, the hard shell potato taco and the soft shell chorizo taco were my favorite. The others were dry and didn't have much going for them. The service was friendly but super slow. We waited over an hour for the plates we ordered above. Not really sure what the hold up was, but other patrons got their food much quicker than us. Overall, good but not great and not worth a repeat. Slightly pricy for what it was.
Delicious and seems Authentic, although I've never been to Mexico so have no point of comparison. The food was great! We had the avocado soup with pomegranate in it! It sounds odd but it was incredible! I'd go back just for the soup! And the soft tacos with beef were great! You get 4 small ones but it's definitely enough! Great place and nice staff. Pay by cash or debit only no credit and they don't have liquor or typical American pop. They have a great selection of Mexican sodas.
Used to be so much better. Now it's way too overpriced for smaller portions and the service is not great either. If you want to charge these prices upgrade your restaurant, service and portion sizes. Disappointed
Authentic Mexican food. Flavours are clean, simple and fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Their weekly special were fish tacos; they were amazing. Would definitely recommend this place without hesitation.
