My husband and I really loved the vibe here when we visited for our date night. We came on a Friday night around 7.30pm to have something to eat before our movie at 9:15pm as it is very close to Cineplex. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, they accommodated us as we assured them we will be out before 9pm. We did not get to experience the live music we were told it starts at 9:30pm on Friday. We would definitely go back to enjoy the music and dance on the dance floor. Also, everything tasted great and our server was very attentive.
Steak Tartar is VERY good. Highly recommend. Pizza's are also tasty. It's a really great vibe, with a dance floor and a band. A nice change for a Marriott hotel not owned by them, but as someone who stays at Marriotts often, it was a pleasant surprise. A little pricey, but a great experience overall.Food: 4/5
Rendezvous is one of the best places to go for brunch/dinner, Food was amazing as usual. Thank you again to our waiter Tate I think his name is, I swear he’s one of the best waiters we came across his energy and hospitality is so welcoming. On our way out we told him we our proud of him and to continue being great.Food: 5/5
A friend of mine had her bday at this restaurant . Everything was 5. The food was delicious and the service outstanding!! There was a band and they were awesome. The best part is the dance floor that changes colors and gives the place an incredible experience while dancing !! Highly recommend Well done to the staff !!
This place is clearly marketed as a restaurant and when we asked the front desk where we could go to eat they suggested going to Rendezvous. However when we got there we were told we couldn't go in because the restaurant is closed to minors by 8pm. However if you look at their website, Facebook, IG and even all the advertising in the hallways in both hotels there's no suggestion of this place being anything but food and music. When I walked in with my kids I missed the signage with the tiny writing where it states that children are not allowed in after 8 obviously because it was tiny. When I asked why that is the case the lady in the front told me that it was because "people get too drunk in here". There were less than 20 people in the entire place! Then they got the manager to come out who introduced himself as Cam and before I could ask questions and have a discussion he spoke in a very condescending manner especially when I asked why would a policy discriminate against minors if they are only eating at the restaurant? Curious about the legality for restrictions from restaurants.
This restaurant was a gem! Extremely friendly and attentive staff great seating and bar/dining area. They even have a coloured lighted dance floor and great live bands! The BEST Turkey sandwich for lunch with perfect shoestring fries and tasty oysters, pastas, fantastic ceasar salad and cocktails for dinner! AWESOME GOODNESS!! PS Sorry no pics of the turkey sandwich I ate it!
We had the best service and they had an excellent choice of live entertainment. The fried prawn appetizer and the gochujang brussel sprouts appetizer were incredible. The pizzas as a main were good, but missing some flavor after those appies. The service was so attentive; for a busy Friday before Halloween, our waitress and Brennan the bartender were exceptional.
Tait was one of the most attentive servers we have met in a long time. He made our night quite memorable. The food was good, make sure to ask for the Brussels sprouts with less sauce, it is so delicious.
We decided to have our anniversary dinner at rendezvous. Due to my husbands food allergies/intolerances, we hesitantly started asking questions about ingredients for different items on the menu. Our server Tait ran back and forth to the kitchen multiple times to ask about the ingredients, ensuring my husband was able to enjoy a dinner with some substitution without all the worry. The food was absolutely amazing hands down better steak than the keg. Tait deserves a promotion!
We booked our company Christmas party in Sept. for a December date and when I called in this week with our food order and final numbers, we were told that they booked the entire restaurant out to another company and that we would not be able to come. Had I not called to give them my final numbers and food order, I would never have known and would have showed up with my staff the night of our Christmas party only to be turned away. Bad business practice and money talked in this instance. Would never ever patronize this place again. Had been a previous customer, but now will tell everyone about our experience and how they do not honour group reservations. Shame on you Rendezvous.
