My son was in here for a weekend. He is type 1 diabetic and I thought his medical needs would be addressed as well as getting help mentally. It is a hospital staffed by medical professionals after all. Instead they removed his insulin pump when I told them they couldn't and then didn't give him any insulin for 4 hours and waited 16 hours to give him his long acting insulin. He told the staff his blood sugars were high and they refused to let him check his blood sugar or receive insulin more than 4 times a day, despite me telling them he needed it more to be well controlled. We checked him out early because his blood sugars had been over 400 for 2 days and he had ketones in his urine. It was an awful and useless experience for everyone.

This place is a joke that might be funny if people had any other choice but to be hauled in here . . .
