Lovely place to stop for a drink and some snacks. We sat outside in the back garden area, which was quiet and intimate. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and out. We each had a beer flight so we could try some different ones. The snacks were excellent, especially the different mixes and the pepperoni sticks.
This place is incredible! Craft beers and cider with a great staff and ambience! Been coming here for 3 + years. Darren takes a lot of pride in the business. We love coming here and highly recommend to others!!
Refuge is a fantastic spot. The best pours in Victoria in my opinion and I love the atmosphere. It's friendly and cozy with a great local beer list. The location is perfect for a quick pint or two on the way home from work.
Very nice casual environment, cafe style with BC-focused menu. Flights and unique spirits with a fabulous bar and top-notch servers. Cocktails for the 100 mile spirit.
So it’s two minutes to opening time, friend and I standing in the doorway, trying to ignore the snow and minus 13 windchill. “Get out of my f@*king doorway,” says the owner inside, who eventually exits without a word to place an open sign on the sidewalk. I’ve experienced warmer welcomes from Millwall fans. Some refuge!
If you are hungry make sure you eat something before getting here. Pretty much no food options but u ll get some fresh on beer and cider. They have cute outdoor space
This is my favourite place in Victoria. It is simple and good, amazing atmosphere, staff and selection of drinks. It’s never super busy and it is a great place for a casual drink where it’s not super loud or crowded. Close to downtown but far enough it doesn’t get the foot traffic a lot of other places do
An excellent time to be had. Fantastic selection of tasty beers and delicious food - get in early for the Scotch Eggs. Definitely a choice place to hang out with friends. I started with a Limoncito Loco Salted Lime Lager from Bomber Brewing. Slurp!!
We came by for a few drinks and to check out this little tap room. What a great place! An amazing selection of BC beers, cider and liquors. Plus super friendly staff and a very stylish and comfortable setting. I would 100% recommend checking it out when in Victoria.
Always a great time at Refuge, and the fact that they have Raised by Wolves on tap makes them a winner for me. Sat outside by the fire table in the back, which is great and then went inside for more, lol. Friendly service. Great neighborhood spot.
