The distance from the parking lot on 19th to the north end of the trail at the pond close to the Reeves Way is pretty short. There is a connected trail/sidewalk along the railway going further north, then connected by some small roads to theain Street of Stouffville. Out and back was about 8km. It was an enjoyable walk.
Nice layout convenient for the children around the area... Also had seats for parents/grandparents. Aug 2022 Still a relaxing area with nicely trimmed grass, recently planted trees.
Love this reserve, connects to many pathways around my community. Friendly people and wonderful local wildlife ... Like being up at the cottage
One of my favourite places to go hiking, lots to see and rest spits. Some up, down, flat areas to walk.
Wonderful little parkett for kids with a nearby pond and a beach to watch ducks and waterfowl.
Small children's parkett next to Rouge park trail . With a pond next to it and lots of birds, not a bad place to be with the kids once it opens after COVID
It's a nice little playground for kids to run around. There some shade albeit minimal, and a few park benches. It's wood chip ground so it's soft for the kids. It's maintained fairly well but sometimes the older kids can be a little rough.
Approx 6 km distance from 19th to Elgin Mills and back. Good walk with a bit of an incline and a couple of resting spots. Trees are starting to sprout, the fields are still barren ... soon it'll be a more pleasant walk
