Always great condition, good driving range. No complaints here, being on the side of the highway you will hear road noise during a large portion of your round. Don’t be discouraged by that it’s not horrible. Good course especially if you’re a CCT member. Always happy to play here. Stay on the fairway though or you’re in for some tough shots.
I always enjoy playing this course - it's something different, a unique test of your game that you won't get elsewhere in the city. Playing here on a windy day was probably the most challenging round I've played in a decade. Conditions have always been decent when I've played here. Not bad, but definitely not immaculate either. They've also got a great practice facility. The driving range faces East and is great for practicing in the evenings. If I had to make a complaint, it would be the loud drone of Highway 2 on some holes. Hardly something you can hold against the course, but something to be aware of.
The pace is a bit slow, expected at city/city area courses I have found. Good to see a Marshall all throughout the round. The beverage cart was seen a good amount. Beverages are limited so if you want a chelada or something along those lines you'll be disappointed. Liquor is a bit steep as well. Found people didn't seem to follow the cart signs or fix divots. No rakes in the bunker is a new trend, I'm not a fan. The driving range is included in the round but the dispenser is disappointing. 5 dollar voucher for food is nice, used to be 10. I'd play again. Hopefully for a shorter round... Probably not.
Retail Landing Golf Club is the place to go. We have been holding corporate events at their location for many years and they have never disappointed! They are quick to act, courteous and professional. If you are interested in hosting an event in the Edmonton area I highly recommend the Club.
Celebrated a Christmas party in the banquet hall. I haven't golfed here. It was a nice venue and had really tasty foods for the party. Great staff and good service.
Lots of bunkers and hills, not much in the way of water or trees. Fairways are open and well maintained as are the greens and tee boxes. Traffic noise is heavy, but that is not the courses fault. Still a little overpriced for this course.
Just an all around great enjoyable course to play. Greens are great! Right from check-in, the staff is friendly, staters are energetic, restaurant staff are great. Course layout is fun, challenging with lots of difficulty options.
I hadn't played RedTail in about 4 years and while some things about the golf experience had since changed, my round yesterday afternoon Sept. 8 was exceptional. From the greeter at the bag drop, the driving range best in the city bar none, the food and service in the club house, and of course the conditions of the golf course itself were all top-notch. I had heard that RedTail wasn't in the best shape the last couple years, but whatever issues they may have had were definitely taken care of when I played yesterday. Again, the course was in phenomenal shape. I especially enjoyed the chat I had with the head pro prior to my round about the removal of the GPS systems in their carts the only downside to the experience and some of the details about the business of golf. That was both fun and interesting. All in all, this was five-stars all the way!
The greens have quite a bit with winter kill. The fairways are okay, bunkers are good but do not have any rakes. The driving range is great. The price we paid was over what was delivered. Some of the tee off boxes needed to be watered. It is going to take a great deal to have me come back as this is not what I have encountered over years past. I expected a lot better and so did the people we golfed with.
This is a well designed links course in good shape. The design allows for multiple shot options and takes care to make sure wet areas do not cause collecting issues. You just need a GPS watch as the carts are a bit older. If they replaced the golf cart fleet i would put it up there with the Quarry in quality, but actually the holes are better designed. Will definitely go back.
