Redd Peppers provides all the classics of Jamaican cuisine. I ordered the jerk chicken plate. The jerk rub on the chicken was outstanding and brought equal amounts flavor and heat. The plate also came with rice, veggies and a dinner roll. The jerk chicken paired well with the sweet limeade drink made fresh. Finally, I need to give consideration to the beef patty. The patties are made in house and they were delicious!!! I haven’t had a beef patty this good before. This restaurant is a solid choice for authentic Jamaican food! I hope to stop in again to try the Red Snapper.
I had the red snapper meal at Redd Pepper’s today! First time having red snapper fish in my life! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS- the rice with beans & cabbage complimented the fish really nicely. Customer service: top notch- the owners are so friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place!
I visited Red Peppers Jamaican Restaurant for the first time on 4/13/22. I can hardly wait to get back. The Oxtails, rice & peas and cabbage was PERFECTLY seasoned. The food melts in your mouth. Easily 5 stars. DELICIOUS! I'll be back next week. :
This place is just wonderful! And real Jamaicans are cooking the food. Sundays they have brown stew chicken that you absolutely must have. But if you go in any other day everything else is just as excellent. I have to go back again to have a red snapper, but the oxtail the jerk chicken the curry goat the curry chicken all of these are so wonderful with flavor and not just topical seasoning. Hope you enjoy it was much as I do. Post some pics of what you had!
Jesus Christ….worth every dollar, worth every bite. Ordered the oxtail dinner with a side of plantains and Jamaican limeade. I even got to sample some curry chicken. Couldn’t stop dancing while I was eating. 5 stars easy because that food there was definitely made with love! Definitely will be back!!
Lovely, food reminds me of my adopted home in the Eastern Caribbean...the curry goat was tender, well seasoned, and delicious, the rice and peas were country style and awesome. Also had a chicken patty it was spicy and delicious, should of got 2! The plantain were the sweetest I have ever had in Minnesota! The chef was friendly and welcoming! Will become a regular customer!
This place is an unknown gem that I hope becomes better known. Their food is on point. I love Carribean food for it's complex balance. You get rice with beans, cooked in coconut milk. You get jerk goat and their empanadas are terrific. My girlfriend, who's vegan, is always satisfied because many of their sides are vegan, and with their healthy portion sizes, she has more than enough to take home. We're hooked already and will keep coming back.
The jerk chicken is seasoned to perfection and the rice and peas and plantains are delicious and moist. The owner is very nice and welcoming and even came over to our table to make sure everything was perfect. We will moist definitely be back
Brand shiny new establishment, nice decor, open for dine in and take out, a smallish diner concept with Jamaican and rastafari themed menu items. Welcome addition to Rice street's colorful neighborhood and community, go check them out soon!
So good! All the flavors are amazing! I am so happy with my food. friendly and inviting atmosphere! I can't wait to go back!
