I am very happy with RedBox Storage, Shatin and would recommend it to those who are looking for good storage in Hong Kong. When my plan of relocating back to Australia was disturbed by the covid pandemic, I was lucky to find RedBox for keeping all my household goods, especially my valuable piano. I could put my mind at ease over the past few years because I knew all the things I treasured were kept in a place with high security and in excellent storage condition. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Now I am moving back to Australia and want to say "Thank You" to RedBox Storage, Shatin for your professional service.
Compared to other storage services I've used before in HK, RedBox has been top-notch. Suggested improvements: 1. The door locks are really slow maybe it's due to the computer behind. Should upgrade/replace that with something that's as secure but opens much more quickly. 2. Most of the carts/trolleys are pretty crummy; need fixing or replacing. 3. Lighting inside individual units is an issue sometimes; I tried my own portable light but not effective. Maybe there's a smarter way. 4. Add a vending machine that sells snacks on 1/F.
Stored my personal belongings with Red Box for over 2 years. Clothes came back moldy and most importantly my designer purses / handbags came back very moldy. I reached out to them asking for some form of compensation. Didn’t hear back for 2 weeks - by that time I had already cleaned everything myself so that the mold would not spread to the rest of my home. They offered to pay for cleaning of my purses / handbags after I already told them I had cleaned them on my own - very unhelpful. Any company with some sense of customer service and satisfaction would offer to refund some money, whether it’s the delivery fee or part of the storage cost. Got none of that from Red Box and instead I got slow customer service response, unhelpful solutions, and an explanation that it’s not their fault. Will never use them again and I highly advise anyone to think twice before using them.
