Story

The Red Door Resort is located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Mille Lacs. We are a family owned business with something to offer your whole family.
The latest addition to the Red Door Resort is a cafe. The Waypoint Cafe will open early, the prices are reasonable, the service great and the food delicious.

We a had been there before. We didn't know the office had moved and the few things they offered were no longer available.  We checked ourselves in and I didn't see anyone until we checked out three days later. We got a hotel room and there is no amenities. We had to run to the gas station for ice and in town for food since the restaurant was never open..
One night we had to go up the road to a bar for dinner and it cost as much as the room. The Birchwood Cafe in Aitkin was great in every way except it's 20 miles away. The first time we went there 2 years ago it was fantastic and that's why we went back. No so this time. If we ever do stay there again it will be a cabin the fact it's twice as much as a room will still be cheaper that all the extra it cost us to stay in the hotel.

Weather was rainy but we still had a good time because the cabins were very comfortable and we had a great view of the lake. Great family memories.

Really enjoy our stays here.   Not a huge place. Very nice smaller facility with motel, cabins and restaurant.

Cute little resort on the lake. Cabins are clean. I haven't seen the motel rooms but I'm told they are updated. Boat access on site. Launches available. Nice owners.

Clean, simple. Great private boat ramp and easy parking with electrical outlet. The only problem is WiFi doesn't really reach our room and my cell network is spotty.
