Recordland was amazing... they even had an In Rainbows box set or whatever it's called, first pressing which is amazing. Super friendly people, amazing selection, new and used, CDs, records, and more. GO HERE! Beautiful store. Can't wait to return. :
The perfect place to take today's kids! Their minds will be blown by all the CDs and Vinyl Albums! It is fun to explain how all music used to come on these and that it used to be common place to go to stores like this and spend hours listening to music and choosing what to buy next. The kids "you mean music isn't just streamed or downloaded???". This is a fun place for audiophiles. They have literally everything! We even found the audio CD for Green Eggs and Ham. A little clearer signage for cataloging where all the music is in each aisle would be helpful. It makes for a cost effective adventure with kids for sure!
Enjoying a day with my daughters walking the “Car Free” streets of Inglewood area of Calgary. Had intended to shop at Recordland as I have acquired a new turntable. Was asked by a younger fellow at the front to leave my “larger bag/purse” at the front. Many other patrons had same size bags and were not asked the same, including my younger daughter. I decided to shop elsewhere.
I love this place. Found so many old records for my collection. I love that when searching through the old records they indicate the condition of the vinyl so if you don mind light scratches cool. If your looking for one in pristine condition it's easily marked. Prices are fair and they will even order a vinyl for you if they an get it. I highly recommend this wonderful store! We will be back again next week hahah.
I could live here! I’ve had so many good hauls here honestly. They also helped me with a copy of IGOR by Tyler the Creator, a record I had been on the hunt for for a full year. They got in my hands and were so awesome about it. Thank you! Seriously you’re one of my favourite places
Went to about 5 record stores today, and this one was the best. Absolutely huge selection. And prices on many records were the lowest I’ve seen. The only gripe is that it’s really cramped in there, so I may try to avoid weekend afternoons next time. Great service too!
They have a large selection of good quality CD'S for a great price. Very congested isles and hard to find and read these items. The shelving looked somewhat sketchy . I feared if I leaned on anything it would all come crashing down.
Visiting from out of town. Had such an insanely large collection it's almost overwhelming. Found all sorts that I was unable to find in my city can't wait for the next visit!
Great CD & LP collection. They also had some cassettes. Used prices are reasonable and new LP prices hover around the $25 mark, which is not to bad. On the used LP price tag they will note if the record has issues such as scratched or thrashed, etc, which was helpful. Staff were helpful. If your looking for something and cannot find it make sure you ask staff as they might have one ‘stashed’ behind the front counter. I also like that most of their used and all of the new records are sleeved. A nice little touch that seems to say ‘thank you for shopping here’ to the customer.
If you have a love for vinyl go here! I never even knew about this store! It’s Canada’s largest collection. Totally worth it.
