RBC Royal Bank

I went in to deposit 1800.00 US money into my account which I purchased at the Continental Currency Exchange. Not at my main branch at the Bryne - Essa road branch. The teller agreed that I had 1800.00 us to deposit. Then she was leafing through it again and pulled out 4 - $50 bills. Which relates to $200.00 US funds. Saying this looks suspicious. A lot of money. She called the assistant manager over and the assistant manager said yes these don't look right I am confiscating them. Off she ran with my $200.00. I am standing there with no proof of her taking them. I asked my teller "don't I get a receipt? She said no but seemed confused. I then said then give them back to me so I can take them back to continental exchange. Sorry we can't give them back. You might put them back into circulation. Implying that I am a crook! When the manager took them she never came back to talk to me or give me a receipt for MY MONEY. I am 69 years old and not rich! Also not a crook! I asked the teller then you have to give me a receipt she did not know what to do. Just stood there. I asked twice more nothing happened. I said then go and get the bills and photo copy them for me, which she did and she was kind enough to stamp them and give me the branch "assistant managers" card. Saying someone would call me tues. I was out tues and I did get a message that the bank had called me. When I called the bank Wednesday and asked where my money is the assistant manager said the police have it. I said do you check it, no she replies. I said you did not run the pen across it or view it on the viewer. She replied we don't have those. I said really you don't have those every till I worked at a store has those at least the pen. She has forwarded them to the police. I have no record of them going to the police either. So I guess I am out $200.00 US that was not my fault. I will be pulling most of my money out of the royal bank after this.

Royal bank never takes responsibility for their mistakes. Bad experience, won't bank with them again.
