We met with Sharon B., on the 3rd December 2022 at 2:00pm So unprofessional and incompetent. He gave us advice about the question we had and we agreed with his suggestion then he said he's going to talk to his friend about it because hes was not sure if it is possible. How can you suggest something you're not sure about? He was supposed to call us back last week, he never did and we tried to call him with no success. I can NEVER accept any financial appointment with him. He needs to know his job and to be taught about professionalism. Not sure if RBC doesn't provide good training to their employees to that point I wish I could give 0 star
Summary: Rude customer service, refusing to do a transfer, lying about a "wait period" on the account. When I got my work done at a different branch, this branch threatened me that a bank draft from a different branch will "bounce" or "be refused". Went to make a wire transfer. Was told by an employee that I wasn't able to and had to wait for 6 days. I asked if there was a hold on the account. She did not answer my question. The employee just said I had to wait 6 days, there was nothing she could do, and she said I "should plan better next time before wanting to do a wire transfer." I asked if I could do a bank draft and the employee said no, I had to wait 6 days. I asked if there was a manager or supervisor I could speak to and the employee said no. I left, drove to a different branch, and asked the different branch for a bank draft or wire transfer from the same account. The different branch was very lovely and informed that a bank draft was cheaper. I got my bank draft within 5 minutes and managed to successfully deposit it shortly after. When I went back to the Maloney branch to clarify what happened, I asked a different employee to help. As I was speaking to him, the same employee from earlier walked past, interrupted our conversation, and asked why did I return. I said I would like to have a look at the account and understand the 6 day wait policy. She said "I don't know what you expect, we cannot do anything for you," and refused to even look at the account. She did not let me finish my conversation with the second employee. She only did agreed to look into the account after I begged her hands folded, repeating the words please to look at the account. When she saw the transaction had happened and I told her that another bank had done it for me, she told me "This is not my problem if the transaction is cancelled or bounces back." Clearly this employee has no idea how bank drafts or wire transfers work. They do not "bounce back." I asked her again to explain the 6 day wait policy and she again said "Not my problem." The employee was rude as well but the main issue is that she clearly did not know what she was talking about, refused to explain the supposed 6 day wait policy, and then refused to help. When faced with her mistake, she continued to be belligerent and insisted I would have a problem and it would not be hers to solve.
The incompetence that can be found in the workers of this branch is incredible, when you wait for 40 minutes being the next in line for them to tell you that they do not know how to do a wire transfer.... If the intention is that we can do everything virtual, what do you expect to do?
Incompetent staff especially the agent who opened my joint account made so many mistakes and had us go back and forth to the branch even the manager didn’t even feel sorry for what they did really terrible!
I had the worst Customer service in this branch! Branch advisors are rude and condescending. The promotion are lies, specially the IPAD promotion! I felt so betrayed I trusted this bank! I WILL NEVER AGAIN TRUST MY MONEY WITH RBC AGAIN!
Went for a wire transfer. The person behind the counter clearly did not know what they were doing could be new, which is ok. However, not only was the line moving slow, it also took 30 minutes to complete the wire transfer. The person couldn't even properly read the numbers at the bottom of a void cheque... The worst part? They never completed my wire transfer. For almost 72 hours I wondered why the money was still in my account. When I called, they blamed it on the other bank "rejecting" the transfer. That was completely false. After talking with RBC customer service on the phone, they confirmed that their branch did not send the transfer and that particular branch lied about the other bank rejecting it. I called the other bank who also confirmed that they never received The other bank never received the Wire transfer. RBC never properly sent it. Ridiculous.
They refuse to honor a standard change policy across the entire country, when I asked to speak to the branch manager the teller, "I don't know when they are in, you can TRY on Monday". Apparently the bank manager is so rarely there that the teller cannot give me a concrete time as when they are there.
Very slow and terrible customer service. Unfortunately I have to go to this branch on daily basis to deposit money for my work and the customer service each I day I visit is worse than the day before. First they are short staffed. The bank have only 3 counters out of 5 open no matter it is crowded or not. Some employees come here to chat and laugh and not care about the line ups or do something to help and the ones helping the customers are slow as they get. The branch manager and his assistant are not capable of handeling the traffic nor they are competent to be in their position. I personally worked in the finance industry so I know how the customer service shall be comparing to what we are getting from the service here
Terrible customer service. I called to cancel an appointment I had for a mortgage. Not ony she appreciate my call to cancel instead of not showing up but the ohone rep yelled at me that how horrible is it to cancel an appointment and before I defend myself she hung up on me. Unfortunately I did not got her name. I will not go or call RBC ever again.
Great service so far. I had two appointments and the service was exceptionally good. Marie Lysa Prévost helped me the two times even if I came in on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. My bad for not putting the agenda on the right day. Jean-Francois Pelletier was flexible enough to allow me the meet Marie Lysa.
