We had a very bad experience with Dr. Ransone. He did a biopsy on my husband for prostate cancer. When we went in for the results he was very abrupt and brief. He informed us that the results were positive and that my husband did have cancer. He offered no explanation of medical terms he was using or what exactly the diagnosis meant. He stated that our two options were surgery or radiation. He did not discuss pros or cons on either procedure. He scheduled a bone scan next and said to let him know what we decided. As we were trying to ask questions, he was backing out of the room and down the hall. We followed him into the hall still trying to talk to him. He gave us over to someone to schedule the scan. After the scan, we had the results sent to South Bend and have now been seeing doctors at Memorial Regional Cancer Center. On our first two appointments, with two different doctors, they each spent an hour to an hour and half with us explaining the cancer and our options. We are much happier with the level of patient care. We would not recommend Dr. Ransone.

Slow, impersonal, rude. Took 3 months of suffering before he prescribed the correct medication. And you can't get them on the phone.

Due to failure to simply add a stent while I was pregnant and suffering from A LOT of pain from a kidney stone during my pregnancy, I lost over 80% of my kidney and have endured 14 years of seeing specialists, enduring numerous surgical procedures, pain & suffering. To add insult to injury, he had the nerve to threaten to sue ME for the minimal balance of my account. I should have pursued medical malpractice claim but simply did not want to endure the process.
