I always get steak Neptune when we hit our favorite steak place near our home. I often worry that other, new places won’t live up to our local steak joint a half hour away… I’m glad I tried this! I was a little worried when the place was empty when we arrived. -40 would do that. I also not switched plans and chose another place down the road… but we decided to take the chance. I’m sure glad we did. Other than the heating issue they were having in the restaurant that forced us to wear out jackets during supper… the whole experience was GREAT! And honestly, the extreme cold temps are something the wouldn’t be able to control either, loads of people are having issues with hvac right now. The steak was flavoured beautifully and done to perfection as medium rare. The sauce was tasty. The gravy too! The asparagus was still crisp the signe of a well cooked asparagus… no one likes soggy asparagus. The soup was potato bacon and it got the spot perfectly too! Our waitress was on the ball and friendly. By the time we were leaving we noted how full the restaurant had become. That says a lot when it was as cold as it was and the other restaurant that I was going to choose down the road was still empty.
We popped in for a quick bite to eat. As it was a nice day, we opted for the patio. It looks as though it's quite new and not quite finished as there were no flowers or decor. It is, however, very spacious with heaters and a huge pergola. The wait staff was good and they had local craft beer on tap that was nice and cold. The food was nicely presented, hand made burger patty, excellent fries. Overall a good experience
My Dad and I have been coming back here from time to time each time he comes and visit in town. We enjoy the place, the food, the coffee and the company we have here from time to time. The food is always spot on cooked well, the service is great and the waiters are super nice. They can be funny if needed and always give us some fun as well. Bottom line, its a good place to go to. To enjoy some company, family gathering, have some coffee with friends and family folk ^^
This was THE BEST meal I have ordered out in a long time!!! I had the 9oz steak with prawns vegetables and caesar salad and my hubby had the fish and chips with salad and the pizza and for dessert is strawberry cheesecake!!! The steak was hands down THE BEST steak I ever had thank you guys for giving us a beautiful meal away from home!!! we literally ate every single bite of this!!! 10/10 reccomend!!!
Had a very excellent meal here. The lasagna was nice and saucy with lots of meat and cheese not just more noodles than anything as is often the case. We also had the veal Neptune. It had real crab on top. Not that fake stuff. Like that almost never happens!! Also the vegetables were nice and crisp with great variety. Really good guys keep up the great work!
We all enjoyed our meals. I accidentally spilled my milk and the waitress brought me another for free. Very nice of her!
We had ranchers castle cater our wedding on September 27th at pine and pond. My mother-in-law suggested ranchers castle as the cater because they have always treated her so well. Dylan and his staff went above and beyond with the quality of food, the presentation, and dealing with the covid restrictions. It was so good that people still talk about it. One of his staff members is an artist and sculpted two swans out of styrofoam and painted it just for us. We got donuts from Toilers for the dessert and they even put the donuts out for us even though they didn’t have to. We really appreciate everything Ranchers castle did and highly recommend them for catering services or an awesome restaurant to eat at as they treat you like family.
Two seniors, two adults and one child for their Saturday morning stampede brunch. The service was not particularly stellar but I think the servers were run right off their feet with trying to keep up. The food was very good with lots of variety, cooked well, and replenished often. We liked it enough to go back on monday hoping to repeat the experience. Disappointed to find them closed but I imagined the staff would be exhausted after a week of rodeo patrons! We would not hesitate to return to this restaurant.
Great restaurant, wonderful people, awesome food! Would come here again.
