Went for lunch, I got the spicy red miso ramen which wasn't spicy I would not give it 1 maybe a tip of red pepper... But the broth was rich, there was a little sweet aftertaste I dont know why but it worked well. The noodles were great! Nice bite to them, good texture and bouncy. The karaage chicken was ok... a little more flavor would have been appreciated but they were nicely fried. Service was ok, we wanted to eat on the terasse so we had to pick and to pay our order before going our table. The server was alone but still pretty effective. They put a pretty good portion of noodles. You might need Extra protein though in the soup
At ramen Isshin, I ordered the red dragon chilli sauce ramen red miso soup to which they add a tonkotsu broth and multiple spices. The advertised on the menu level of spiciness I found accurate, decent depth of flavors, the chashu of my red dragon bowl was actually good. I did also order the tako wasabi which pungency from the wasabi was well judged and the chicken karaage not bad, not great, just ok. Friendly staff, good ambience. And indeed, one of the better bowls of ramen in Montreal. I will go back and try the vegetarian ramen, of which I heard great things.
Cheerful staff and authentic Japanese ambiance. If you're a fan of manga, you can enjoy the music while eating some ramen. I loved the bamboo added to the portions I had never tasted it before & let me tell you that the boiled eggs are one of a kind. A must try ramen shop if you're wondering where to dine at Le Plateau.
Pretty good Ramen for Mtl. Good noodles, yummy meat, delicious eggs. Portion was small and broth wasn't as flavourful as I personally like it. However, I have an acquired taste so it's more subjective. I'd say I enjoyed it overall. Sakura Cola is Oishi
You must try the Wok Fried Red Miso Ramen - all ingredients are fired up to imbue it with naturally smoky rich flavours. There are also 15 different types of ramen to choose from and yummy appetizers. Highly recommended is the Takowasa octopus wasabi sashimi self-roll!
Went there with a friend last week. We took a small cha shu bowl, roasted garlic shoyu ramen, okonomiyaki and mango pudding. Their ramen broth is tasty, not too heavy, which is to my liking. The cha shu don is okay. The okonomiyaki had more batter than cabbage in it, but it's still good. What we liked the most, was the mango pudding. It was really refreshing, the highlight of our meal. Their ordering system was the first for us. We had to use their qr code to scan the menu, no problem. But we also had to order through our phone as well. I guess it's for limiting the contact and good for those who don't like to order.
An absolute must go for couples. Food is simply amazing and isn't too expensive. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We went to order Karaage, time was a bit slow but it was extremely worth it. There were 2 other couples in the restaurant, the staff noticed this and they adjusted the ambiance and music to suit the event. We loved it. I'm going back to this restaurant another time.
The best service in ramen restaurant. The ramen is quite yummy as well, especially the broth is thick. Would come again and recommend to friends.
No need to drive to Brossard anymore for a good bowl of ramen. @ramenisshinqc recently opened a new location in Mont-royal. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the vegetarian ramen because it tasted like porc tonkatsu . Thank you again for the invite and hope to see you soon ! P.S. Good selection of Sakes and Beers Menu: Entrées: Chicken Karage Tako Wasabi Seafood Okonomiyaki Ramen: VEG ramen Miso Ramen
Went here and tried their vegetarian ramen, it was bit too salty for my taste but the flavour was good. The portion was quite generous also. Also ordered fried chicken, it was not the best one I ever had but pretty good.
