Recommended by a friend, Ramen DANBO is a unique experience where you get to make the ramen exactly how you like it. You can choose the noodles, the richness of the broth, and even the spice.nnThere is usually a line-up but I think the wait is definitely worth it. The service is fast once you're inside. I did have a few of the staff check up on me more than once but they were very friendly.nnI highly recommend this place if you're looking to experience crafting your own unique ramen.
The ramen were cooked just right you get to specify noodle thickness, and how firm or soft you want the noodles. The broth can also select how you want the broth. Without any add-ons, the ramen comes with two slices of chashu; with the $6 chashu-men add-on, you will get four more slices so 6 slices in total.nnThe soft boiled egg was also delicious.
Danbo has the best ramen in town! The soup base was very rich and full of flavours. You’ll get to customize your bowl of ramen with the richness of the soup, thickness of the noodle and more. The chashu pork donburi were nice too!nnThe only downside is that this place is very small, so there’s always a line up of about 20-30 minutes of wait when visiting this restaurant. The dining experience wasn’t as good as the meal. We felt we’re being rushed out as soon as we finished our meal.
They are exceptional.nTheir quality of food is always top notch price is the bonus.nYou could really feel like you are in Japan having authentic ramen.nYou can load a coupon on your digital wallet to collect stamps and redeem for free foods.nThis place worth the wait.nAnd for Kerrisdale location, wait time is less than other locations for some reason. I suppose the bigger space?
We came here right before the rush lunch hour, and thankfully, there was no lineup. Half an hour later, we can see the lineup was starting outside. It was my first time visiting Ramen danbo and very impressed with how much customizable it was for the ramen. It was very delicious! They have a separate menu for the vegan ramen. The egg and gyoza were good. Service was ok for a busy place, and food came out promptly. Will come back!
