Delicious udon. Udon noodles were chewy, broth was flavorful while soothing. Great spot for comfort food. Food is fairly priced for what it is.nnI’d recommend coming at opening as a line up builds up fast. Nice decor but seating is slightly cramped.nnWill be back to try more of their menu items.
Went alone for a solo lunch. I had fried chicken and crab soup udon. Fried chicken was super juicy/tangy dipping sauce. I live the yuzu/citrusy taste of the veggies in my broth, yummy!nnGenerous portion, price is fair. Slightly higher than most place but definitely you’ll have some left over.nnStaffs were amazing, sweet service and moving fast.nn5/5 would recommended and would come back. Just slightly too salty for the broth.
One of the best udon we’ve tried in the city. We ordered Kani Ankake and the broth, while thick, has a clean and light taste to the mouth. The noodles were chewy and went well with the soup.nnKatsudon was surprisingly good. The pork was juicy and the sweetness from the onions and sauce perfectly complemented it.nnWe also tried their fried eggplant and zaru soba, which were both good.nnService was excellent! We went for weekend lunch and got seated right away. By the time we left, the place was already packed.
Best udon place in Toronto.nnI first visited here when they had just opened and visited recently. Their food is consistent. Very chewy udon noodles. We had cold udons this time. Chilli oil was nice but its spices were strong. Maybe cinnamon or star anise or ginger? If you don’t like spices I suggest not getting it. Ankimo and gyoza were ok.nnThe only downside is that they’re always busy so service is alright. The fact that they don’t take reservations is very inconvenient.
BEST UDON IN THE CITYnnA real, freshly handmade udon spot that’s perfectly cooked to a chewy texture. You can easily tell these noodles were hand cut just from the shape. I would go to say it’s better than many udon shops in Japan lolnnThings we ate:n- buta shabu : a deep earthy creamy sauced cold udon. Came with a generous amount of pork belly and fresh cucumbers. MUST have the chilli oil add-on to balance out the earthiness. The chilli oil isn’t spicy- only aromatic and improves the creamy sauce texture to a silky finish.nnI love this dish and will say it’s the most unique udon I’ve had must get!!!nn- kani ankake : thick egg pieces hot soup udon with a generous amount of crab meat. Loaded umami flavour. Super comforting.nn- chawanmushi : the SOFTEST egg. Best chasanmushi better than some Kaiser’s meals I’ve had in Japan. Srsly this is so worth the price and a must getnnI’m not sure if it’s a coincidence based on what we ordered but some items feel very fusion and well executed. Will come again.
