Rainy River Resort

Didn't go there for pleasure our concrete crew was there to work and we got a good price on the cabins are it was off season, They we're nice enough to open the bar for us and fire up the kitchenRooms: 3/5

I’m going to start with the positives. Fishing was great! Lodge was wonderful along with food and service. Loved the pizza!! Now the reason for my low rating: I didn’t expect much of staying at the cabin but... it was really bad. I probably could have handled the sinks having rust stains but when opening the silverware drawer and seeing bugs in it that was a bit disturbing. The bathroom was pretty dirty as well. Bedding is old and beds uncomfortable.

The owners were great and really made us feel welcome. Our only complaint would be that the beds were pretty uncomfortable. But you can tell that they are working on making upgrades to the resort so maybe beds are on their list. We had a good time while we were there and are making plans to return, both winter and summer. Edit: we stayed again in a different cabin and everything was just great.

Had an awesome time out on the ice. Staying on rr3#11. Great guides out there checking up on us. Got a bunch of fish. Definitely will be coming back again next year. Thanks for the awesome time.Rooms: 5/5

Very nice owners and guide. Spent 3 nights and 2 days ice fishing in next to new ice shacks. They checked on us two to three times both days to make sure we had enough bait and to see how the fishing was. They were willing to give us insight to what other people were having success fishing with. They look like they are working very hard on updating the resort since taking ownership. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality.

Great place! They put us on the fish.. both summer or ice fishing. The food is awesome! Small, friendly resort that takes good care of their customers.

Wonderful ice fishing trip! Owners are kind and more than accommodating. The resort was very charming. Exactly what our family was looking for. Kids can not wait to come back. Would highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
