Lots of panels to read, with displays mixed in among the panels. An awesome toy train display that moves around a track very well detailed of the areas that the railways passes through. The jewel of the whole museum.
So much interesting information, pictures and artefacts showing the history of rail and government maritime transport in NL. Also, they had a fun model train display that my 8 year-old spent at least an hour watching...Actually, she was likely playing with the toy train activity stations beside it for most of that time, lol. Will definitely go back. Strongly recommended!
A great history of the NL Railway. A family place with lots to see for everyone of any age!! My son always had a love for trains so we always took him here. A train inspired play area is located inside for little ones to have some play time during their visit!! A real trian Not in use is located just outside the museum. My Kiddo loves to play on it, great spot for pictures !! Also located near downtown, with Many places to grab a bite to eat after your visit
Decent train museum, but it has a lot of nautical focus being in St. Johns. There is a static display of a Deisel engine outside. Model train set up looked nice but wasn't running.
Nice museum to walk thru with many interesting displays.
