We were here as a huge group over 50 people for an educational experience. We were served wonderful buffet food three times. The service was exceptional.I would like to mention. Errol was a wonderful customer service representative with us! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and great to deal with easy to check in! The cleaning staff went over and above For us and our rooms were lovely! We had to change our venue at the last minute and this hotel was very accommodating within walking distance of the forks is wonderful and close to many great restaurants and great architecture!
Stayed for over a week and utilized cover parkade. Had vehicle broken in to at 6am via FOB replicator and two masked men disassemble vehicle for over an hour with no response from security. 500$ deductible of insurance declined to be covered by hotel authority. Unfortunately have to provide a negative review as recourse for these events. Would view experience more positively should hotel cover deductible of theft, given failure to provide a safe environment or reasonable response from security for blatantly suspicious activity over a significant period of time. At present time cannot recommend use of hotel and parkade due to safety concerns not being met, and absence of financial responsibility from hotel.
I had to chance to access the fitness facility of this venue as compliments from Holiday Inn that was under renovation. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful. The fitness facility is good enough. Some older machines and I would have preferred a more robust cable machine to complete a good workout, but this was adequate enough for a few days stays in the city.
My recent stay in Winnipeg was extremely disappointing. I did not feel safe at the hotel due to people openly taking drugs and smoking outside the premises, while there were also individuals roaming inside the hotel. The overall condition of the hotel was very poor—it felt like stepping into a building from the 1950s. The furniture was broken, the bed was uncomfortable, and there was constant noise and a strange, unpleasant smell throughout the property. The linens and general cleanliness were unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel, as it failed to meet even basic standards for comfort and safety.
A great stay over May long weekend! We stayed in a king room on the 19th floor. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was somewhat dated, there isn’t a good vent working in there so when you take a shower the bathroom gets quite wet. I had to use a spare towel to wipe off the excess moisture on the walls. Also the outlets were somewhat inaccessible from convenient places but this wasn’t a big pain, just inconvenient. Outside of that, the service from the hotel staff was top notch and our check in and check out process was quick and easy. The location is the biggest perk of staying here. You are in the middle of downtown Winnipeg with all the convenience that comes with that. Great places to shop, eat and be entertained, all within a quick stroll from the hotel. Canada Life Center and the RBC Convention Center are just a couple of blocks away. The Forks is a 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel too. It’s also got parking on site as well as being a block away from the Graham Avenue Transit Mall. All in all, a very good hotel and I’d stay here again.
