Rachel's Restaurant

Is this not called citrus or sitrus? Either way it’s the restaurant in the hotel. We had breakfast there on two occasions and the food was surprisingly delicious. Coffee was good. The hotel bar was average, not very good at mixed drinks. No drink menu with mixed drink offers. I’d pass on the bar unless it’s easy because you are staying at the hotel.

Staying at the hotel. Decided to order food here even though the ratings were a bit low. I’m glad I did. Service from the host and bartender were friendly, fast and genuine. Food was also good and reasonable especially for a hotel restaurant. I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a few times and will definitely eat here again. Wish I had tried it before!

The food was pretty good. We ordered 2 sandwiches and had to wait for sauce on one for a short while. The service was a little off and the dining room felt a like a dungeon with the lack of natural light.

I tried the burger and it was very good! Quite place, so it is good to have a formal conversation with people.

Food and drink were great. Associates were very attentive and friendly. Will return Dietary restrictions: They are excellent for catering to allergy needs

My family and I came here for their annual Mother’s Day brunch years ago and it was great! Unfortunately, that experience did not replicate itself. The food this time around was subpar. The omelette station with a nice young lady by the name of Cassandra was amazing and the desserts were good. The very worst part was that they were seating all of the black patrons in a room in the back of the restaurant! We were horrified to see the scene when we arrived and will not be returning!

We we’re trying to eat at Sitrus, a part of Rachel’s since Rachel’s was closed This establishment is an embarrassment to the city of Syracuse. It is extremely unorganized and a total disaster customer service wise. After waiting about 10 minutes wondering if we seat ourselves or not, we went up to the bartender to find out since not a single staff member approached us. We then proceeded to grab a table, but the man next to us decided he wanted to acquire the table for the rest of his group. The staff did not care and when his group arrived they did not even sit and eat. They were standing around the 3 different tables this man had pushed together drinking beer; you know, what you can do at the bar. When asking a waitress about this she rudely brushed us off and told us to try Rachel's next door, assuring us it was open we went ahead. It was closed. We then returned to Sitrus and spoke to the manager. He was extremely rude to us. I asked why customers who were standing around tables drinking and not eating or had already paid were not asked to move to the bar since there were customers waiting to be seated. Since I'm a girl, he spoke down to me and man-splained that he couldn't kick people out. I responded that he wasn't kicking anyone out, they were not providing his establishment revenue by sitting around not purchasing anything more. This man acted like he barely had the time of day for me because I was a young girl. I will never try to eat at this establishment ever again. It's not even that good of food, it's just close to the games. This restaurant should really reevaluate how their staff treats customers and women. So embarrassed this restaurant is located near my university. Such a disgrace.

The food is mediocre. The customer service isn’t great, except for Sarah! Sarah is wonderful!
