I’m changing my review because the next time we went with my friend, the food and drinks were much better! I order tacos, and we had a pitcher of Margaritas! So yummy! Past review: 3 stars. I’d recommend the margaritas and sangria but not the food in general! The burritos did not have any greens, and the salsa was not fresh. The taco was ok!
My partner and I ALWAYS have an amazing experience when we go here. The food is SO good and our service is always amazing. We’ve had Jess the past few times and after not being there for a few months, she remembered us and asked how we’ve been! She is SO lovely and I hope she is appreciated for how awesome she is at her job! Nowhere compares to her level of customer service or just the quality of the experience we have there. : Vegetarian options: A good few vegetarian options! I’m not a vegetarian but I don’t always feel up for meat and boy are they great vegetarian options!
This restaurant is close to downtown St. John’s and offers delicious Mexican food. The staff are very friendly and the service is top notch. The food was very tasty but not as spicy as we expected. My fiancé is from Latin America and she gave it two thumbs up.
2nd time being here and amazing again. Best nachos in st John's Thomas served us today and the last time. Very friendly knowledgeable hope to have him serve us again. I've worked in restaurants for over 20yrs and if I had my own place I would try to steal Thomas to work for meFood: 5/5
Excellent service. Among the best I ever had. The food was very very tasty. Gotta love the complimentary nachos and salsa that they make in house. The food was hot, the dessert was very tasty. You couldn't ask for a nicer experience. We will be back and I recommend the speciality coffees..
This place is a gem! I wanted to sit and enjoy a family meal that I did not have to prep and serve. I was not disappointed! We took 3 kids under 12 to eat on a Saturday night. We did make a reservation and I recommend doing so, because even at 7:30pm the place was quite busy. We received the complimentary nachos and salsa, and ordered the paquitos combo platter as an app which were devoured by everyone in minutes! Only the 8 year old ordered from the kids menu, getting the burrito and it was the right size. The food was hot, served quite quickly, and there was not a single complaint from any one of us! We even took it the whole way and ordered dessert. Let's just say everyone had a taste of each others! Chocolate eruption cake I'm drooling thinking of it, deep fried ice cream, cheesecake and benuelos, yummy. We were stuffed and our palates were so satisfied nobody ate another bite for the entire night! App, 5 meals, 5 desserts and drinks for all cost $200. Totally worth every penny--I just hope the tip matched our experience!
Food is always delicious, and they have a wonderful selection of artisan drinks. Menu is full of authentic Mexican cuisine! A spicy delight in Newfoundland!
Our appetizer was great. Very flavourful coyote critters, cheese stuffed peppers. Our entrées were supposed to be spicy according to the menu description but they were not spicy at all, so we were disappointed with that

Went to Quintana's with my kids for a meal out...very disappointed. Ordered Loco Nachos with toppings on the side. Order came with twelve...yes twelve...nachos chips with cheese and hamburger on them. For $19. When I asked the waitress if this was it, she told me that it says twelve chips on the menu, as if it was my fault for ordering them incorrectly. It doesn't say twelve chips on the menu. If she had said that it was only 12 chips I would not have ordered them. Nevertheless, we plow through twelve chips like nothing...and the kids are left hungry from three chips each. Then on to the main courses. Ordered three kids meals from a menu that is only available on the website. No worries about online menus- the way of the world right now. Says $7.99 for kids meals. When we receive the bill we were charged $9.99 for each kid meal. Ask the waitress about the price difference and she says that she will get "Tom" to answer because she just started in August it's October when we went. Note to owner- if she doesn't know the menu by now she never will. Waitress says it says "prices subject to change" on menu as justification for the difference. I've experienced this before in shady restaurants in third world countries. After a mediocre meal I speak with the owner, who was pleasant enough but offered no compensation other than his card and asking how we could make the next visit better. Dear owner, there won't be a next visit. And, you need to take a hard look at the servers you have working right now. The one that waited on us was absolutely terrible. Recommendation: stay away. Run. For another restaurant.
