My kids asked me to eat one of the fabled beaver tails. I must say it was the sloppiest, stickiest experience of my life to date. Not for everyone... Just to be clear, this does not make it a bad experience at all, but a rather unusual and interesting experience. So, everyone please try your hand at this. Even the shop itself has a spectacular and fun look!
It was cold when we decided to go getting some Queues de Castor. This is one of a legend in Montreal too. The line of queueing was very long but it was worth to wait. A warm flat donut with several flavors we could try on. I took a classic one with cinnamon and lime. Superyummy. Chocolate and banana was good too, so as chocolate and vanilla. But those were a bit too sweet for me. A must to try if you come to Montreal
As an American, I simply could not get enough. I had two of these in a day! I got the maple beaver tail with ice cream, and I really loved how the pastry knocked out my sweet tooth but also didn't make me feel really heavy afterwards. I'm addicted to these officially
The tables to eat inside where a mess, very dirty, but I like the beaver tale.
Just one guy working on a lonely street, in what would be the busiest part of the city. He quickly made my strawberry cheesecake beaver tail, I haven't had one in years. It was very delicious. They have a one customer at a time type of policy. I walked it down he street and ate it. It was 8$
A delicious high calorie and fattening desert. The dough is deep fried, then whipped with tons of nutella which we all know is pretty much straight up sugar, and topped with slices of banana. Of course, if you are trying to eat healthy or lose weight, you’ll want to punch yourself after eating this tasty mess. But, once every while won’t hurt. Id eat this everyday but I also don’t want to buy new pants when my waist increases exponentially.
Oh God what a nice pastry we had. It turns out that this a famous Canadian dessert and I’m not sure if it’s only from Quebec. This freshly made crispy pastry was served hot and they put cream cheese on top but that wasn’t all... they also added maple sirup. Prices are great and they accept international credit cards. This place has a few tables inside and more outside.
This is basically fried dough with delicious toppings. Best comfort food to satisfy your sugar cravings. I had the Bananarama, BrWoWnie and Hazelnut spread. All tasted yummy, I personally love the hazelnut one. Definitely going again to try every other Beaver tail.
Food was good but 25mins to get half-filled lemonades and 1pastry tonight..... RIDICULOUS, 2 employees talking and singing to their music: like HELLO THERE'S A LINUP AND PEOPLE ARE WAITING!
A landmark in Canada’s desert cuisine. If I were to describe it it would be like a laid out doughnut. The menu allocates all tastebuds and revisits popular tastes. Their poutine is also very nice. You can find one of their location all over Canada, but Montréal’s location is very special to me!
