Quality Inn & Suites

Our family has had a good experience here in the past. So we have come back annually. They have a pool for our children, a decent hotel room, and typically courteous staff. However. This summer we canceled our stay several days in advance via the phone, the hotel said no problem. Later we got our credit card bill and we were charged for the stay. We contacted the hotel 5, yes hear that again FIVE times regarding the charge, all of which we would be told that a manager would contact us. That NEVER happened. No attempt, no call, nothing. It has been two and a half months since the charge has appeared (and we paid for it). My name is included here so I am sure that the hotel must have the opportunity to see the charge. I am more than happy to remove this review as well, so long as this is resolved. If not, others should simply be aware.

Here is the deal. It's a $50 room. So if you going in expecting that it's fine. It's a older motor lodge style and really has not been updated since the 80's. The rooms seem quiet enough but things like peeling wallpaper, cracked toilets and bad tile in the room take down the overall impression. They do a simple basic breakfast so don't expect much.

I had the basic cheapest room, it felt very much like it used to be a small apartment. Nice stall type shower with hot water, clean comfy bed. Only down a star as the fit and finish of the room was not great, though it was functionally great.

Very nice for the price. Free breakfast included, waffles, sausages, yogurt, small sweet rolls, small muffins, orange and apple juice, etc. Free local newspaper. Small exercise room. Behind the motel is a small picnic area with tables.

The staff was very nice and quickly corrected the mistakes our travel department had made. The breakfast was sub-par. The waffles and sausage were tasty, but everything else left something to be desired. The room was fine, but would have been better with another blanket, either on the bed or available to add to the bed.
