The food is excellent! We like the uniqueness of the different seasonings added along with the creativity of the entree's. Not conventional mexican food, however, great food if you come into it with an open mind. The service is also spot on every time we've dined here over the past couple years. The outside seating is perfect during the summer months. Reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is on their taco Tuesday's Tuesday night is our date night, it is required to purchase an alcoholic beverage to take advantage of the buy one get a free taco. My wife and I are in recovery and don't drink.. Why not buy an appetizer for the taco deal on Tuesdays..? Update: Punk Taco Management/owners listened. They changed their policy on Taco Tuesday. Purchasing a soft drink now qualifies for buy one get one free taco. I just revised to 5 stars. Thank you!
Delicious!!! We ate outside there was little to no service other than having the food brought out. So if your looking for something other than that look elsewhere. The food however was phenomenal and unique. The atmosphere is awesome it’s very eclectic. We walked down by the river and enjoyed the low key atmosphere! Visiting here is a must!
Hands down the best tacos we have had in the 6 years we lived here. We had an hour wait which turned out to be 30 minutes at Creole so we hopped over to Punk Taco for a chicken taco , black bean taco and the chorizo dip. Holy Spaceballs these tacos were filled to the max every bite was heaven and the shells were fire. The chorizo dip had all chorizo under the the dip too and the chips we're hitting they were even better the next day when the bag soaked up the grease. I killed the dip and chips late at night and in the morning since we had to bounce over to Creole so quick. Literally every bite of those tacos had filling they were stuffed so at 4 bucks so worth it. Photos attached we will be back. For the people posting these tacos aren't authentic etc this is not a Mexican restaurant head around the corner if you want that, if you want something with a sort of fusion and flavors and great presentation stop by here. I find it hilarious the people who are expecting authentic Mexican and review on that. This place is
Great Taco Place!! The can easily make their tacos vegan, and the cauliflower and black beans tacos are really good. I highly recommend getting a margarita. The chips were fresh as was the tortilla. And the service was insanely fast, we had our tacos in less than 5 minutes.
This is a wonderful place to grab to quick, homemade, and delicious food. Homemade corn tortillas, homemade tamales, and detailed unique tacos. I highly recommend the tequila chorizo taco and the tostada. I am not always a margarita fan, but this place makes an excellent creative custom margarita. I opted for the trust us option that changes depending on their current fresh ingredients, and I will be sticking with my choice in the future. Amazing food! Well done Punk Taco!
Intended to go to the restaurant next door but they weren't serving a full food menu so we went here instead. It was pretty good... I can't eat corn and eat vegan+seafood so there weren't many options for me on the menu. I asked if they could do a bowl with rice, black beans, and salmon which they accommodated. The flavor was great but portion was kinda small. True to its name, there was punk music blaring inside and it was blaring so loud that we decided to sit outside. I don't know if I'd go back just because the menu doesn't have a lot that I'd be interested in trying. If they had flour tortillas, I might reconsider.
Fun and funky atmosphere. Order at counter, and waitstaff brings it to your table. Lots of unique combinations to choose from. All look and taste great. Decent selection of craft beers available.
Great Tacos. I'm Mexican and grew up eating Mexican food my mom made. These aren't your traditional tacos your abuela makes but they're delicious nonetheless. Very pleasantly surprised. Oh and did I mention hand made tortillas?
My wife had a Burrito, it was huge, tasted amazing. I had the shrimp taco and a duck taco. Both very unique twists on a taco but both tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back here. The staff was very friendly, has a very punk rock interior, guests sit were ever there is an open spot.
SO TASTY!! The line was long but they were great about making themselves available to anyone in line if they had any questions - major props for that! All the tacos we tried were killer. To get really full, you’d probably need 3-4 tacos, or 2 tacos and an order of nachos. This is definitely going to be a standby for us this summer!
