Publican House Brew Pub

First visit there. Had a bacon mushroom burger with fries and it was excellent. The beer is also very good. Service was fast and attentive. I recommend The Publican House and will personally go again.

The Publican House Restaurant is just okay. I've been there twice and was underwhelmed both times. The food is mediocre. It wasn't bad, I just wasn't impressed. The vegetarian options are very limited and if you have any other dietary restrictions like gluten or dairy, I wouldn't go there. Their wine list is hardly a list as there is only 1 red and 1 white to choose from, and wine was served in rocks glasses. The service was very friendly, but inattentive and seemed inexperienced. The uniforms (cheap black t-shirt with their logo on it, plus one server wearing a ball cap) and the TVs everywhere give the place an uninspired vibe. However, I will say that they did a great job of renovating the old building. They maintained some of the character, and put in trendy lighting and tables. Their patio is decent. I think this place has potential, but they've only been open a little while. I will certainly try it again and update this review if I have a better experience.

Great place! Food is fantastic and fast! Love the open concept kitchen. The staff are incredible.

The paint is still pretty fresh on the walls, so I'm aware that the staff are still ironing out the details, as well as dealing with huge numbers of people lining up to get in. As someone who loves food... my first impressions were... Why don't I come back in a few months when they have figured out how to deliver to a large volume of people. For the time being, go for a beer and perhaps an appetizer, but hold off from making a meal and a night of it... at least until they've sorted out the details in the kitchen (perfecting their fries/ half of our fried cauliflower was just fried batter). I've no doubt that this will be a staple within the dining scene by this time next year. They have invested quite a lot in the structure and the results are beautiful. Extremely friendly staff. Just needs some experience under it's belt. I look forward to looking forward to going here. Until then, it's learning in progress.
