Talk about a restaurant and bar with good ambience in Peterborough, this definitely ranks high on that list. I like the staff's helpfulness. The only downside is that the vegetarian options aren't many, although their willingness to make things as per the customer's needs is commendable. There's very little to complain about in terms of food. I love their appetizers and mains. Highly recommended for folks with an extra couple of bucks to spare because this isn't the cheapest place around.

Was in Peterborough for work and happened on this place when walking downtown. The place was almost full on a Wednesday night which I took to be a good sign. There was four of us in our party, including a vegan, and we all found something to our liking. The steak special I had was cooked a perfect medium rare. The staff was friendly and service was very fast. I will return if I am back in Peterborough area in the future.

Has been a favorite of mine and my friends for years. Great menu and atmosphere. Gerti's is everything you want for a nice dinner out.

I wouldn't consider it a budget-friendly spot, but the food is well worth the price. Everything that I have eaten here has been excellent, both in taste and plating. It can be quite loud and busy, simply because it is such a hot spot downtown.
