My wife and I are visiting Montreal on holiday and our experience here was the highlight of our trip! Simply does not get any better than this. The food is absolutely delicious. Crazy flavour. I've never had a short rib like that in my life. Service was excellent. Especially considering the place was packed on a Friday night. Cannot say enough good things.
The food was very good, we tried beef tartar and salmon laksa. Tartar was bigger portion than usual and had very creamy garlic flavour, also was served with warm bred better than just chips As much as I liked the food, service was extremely poor. Waiters didn’t care about customers, they just listened for the order and looked very annoyed with us. No one refilled our water and it’s impossible to catch them and ask for it, they just talk to each other and don’t pay attention to the clients
Had a wonderful brunch here. Friendly and attentive staff, the avocado eggs Benny are high quality and quantity. You can tell there is love and effort in it. Will definitely come back again and bring friends! The only thing the pub might consider: offer a plant based milk alternative for the coffee
Amazing restaurant and pub! Came here with 12 people for a bachelor party and had a great time. $2 oyster deal was awesome. Our server Sophie was incredible.
Relaxed restaurant-pub open late in the old port. Kitchen closes at 10 PM, but snacks menu with hearty options burger, vegetable gyozas, pad thai, poutine available until closing. Lovely and friendly hostess and manager. There's a glitch in their online reservation system, but they respected our reservation anyways. Water was always filled. Food was delicious I highly recommend the crispy vegetable gyozas with red curry peanut sauce. Ample drink options. Music wasn't too loud so we can hear each other speak without yelling over the table. All in all an excellent place to catch up with friends.
This place is ok. I went with 3 of my friends just for a Saturday night out and it was fun. Is a place only for beer and fries. They have a variety for food but actually is not that great. We order truffle large fries and those were nice, the tartar of beef was nice but the meat with potatoes was bad. The potatoes weren’t that well cooked and not sliced very thin as they should. Also a lot of butter in that last dish. I must say the SERVICE is amazing, they are really taking care of the customer. Final thing is the music is too loud to have a conversation without a headache but the environment is nice; also the place is small and even when we are not having more covid restrictions, been sitting too close to other tables is hard to take sometimes. In overall is a place for a beer 1 hour and that’s it
The pub was packed and noisy when we arrived so I was somewhat apprehensive about staying. However, I'm 100% glad we weren't dissuaded by volume. GF and I had the steak bavette ordered "medium rare but more to the rare side". The chef totally nailed it. Exception dish. Start with a dozen oysters that are $2 a shuck during happy hour which goes to 7PM. Do they have happy hours in Toronto that go to 7PM? This is one of those rare magical establishments.
Great cocktails and delicious food, way above standard pub fare. Service that makes you feel welcome and at home. If it’s after 22:00 and you’re hungry this is definitely the place to go, the kitchen is open until close and the night menu has real food. I recommend the leolito cocktail if you like tequila.
Everything was on point. Small place so get there before or after lunch hour. Dumpling soup was Pho-esque. Decent selection of beers and yes, you can get Pappy on the whiskey list if you are so inclinedFood: 5/5
Cute vibe, small, they were playing Disney movies on mute, subtitles when I went. The waiters were cool and fun. Food was pretty good for a pub, it's more gastronomical pub food but not something I'd go out of my way for but for the old port, it's worth checking out compared to some other places that aren't good but are in a tourist area.
