Pronto Shoe Repair

Fantastic place, my leg is 5/8ths of an inch too long so I have to get a lift put in my right shoe. He always does a great job and it is certainly not an easy task to do this with some of the shoes I send him, especially the running shoes. Been going here since grade 10 and it's always top notch. The one thing that I would recommend is to talk to him before about what he can do because there are just some things that will not work due to the shoe being made a certain way and will not allow modifications. Really nice friendly guy always nice to talk to and joke around with. I wouldn't listen to the other two 1 star people, He's actually the best.

Had an incredibly unprofessional and frustrating experience. Took in a very expensive bag to get the handles sewn back on as they were starting to rip off. I wanted to get it done professionally as I wanted to have them sewn on under the bag lining, which I explained. When I got the bag back (see photos) he didn't even bother and just sewed over the lining. Which is frustrating as this is just what I would have done myself and not paid money to have a poor job done by someone else. And you can also see in the photo that the handle didn't even get sewn all the way back on. He said he would undo his work and stitch it under the lining but that I would have to pay for him to remove it and redo it. On top of paying for the poor job he already did. I also brought in a pair of shoes that needed to be stretched slightly. I love these pair of shoes so was incredibly disappointed when I got them back and the heel had a big tear in the leather on the inside. Which I assume was from the stretcher inserted into the shoe. When I went to get my money back he was incredibly rude and unprofessional and calling me a liar. He took no responsibility and and offered no apology. He did give me my money back but not without shouting me out of the store yelling to never come back. And seriously, who doesn't "believe in" having a debit/credit machine?? It's the 21st century, wake up. Get some manners. DO NOT go here!!

Brought some boots in to get repaired. Paid in full then when I got home I realized that I could not get these boots on my feet. They were clearly modified incorrectly. When I returned to the store I was told that I needed to pay once again, to have them "fixed". I argued that they wouldn't even go into my feet any longer but I was told that if I wanted to be able to put them on I would need to pay again to have the work done. This business owner is completely out of touch with reality and will not accept responsibility for his poor work. If he had agreed to make these boots good, I would have appreciated that it was just a mistake, but when he blamed me for the problem, I walked out. Not only did I waste my money, but these expensive boots that I love will need to be fixed by another store. This store owner is unreasonable and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your shoe repair needs.
