Had a great time there. Teachers are great. Lots of great memories were made.nnI nonetheless feel obliged to deduct one star from this review, as one of the academic advisors made a serious mistake in my file, and sadly refused to be held accountable for it. Luckily the registrar came up with a reasonable solution.nnThis institution will provide you with sufficient preparation for whatever academic endeavour you wish to pursue, but there are great alternatives for those who want a breath of fresh air after High School.
The school is a great place where the teachers are really nice and don’t let any students behind. They actually want to make us learn that subject. The teachers will teach us important information in life and not the useless ones we don’t care about. All the staffs are very friendly and I personally loved learning at this school.
My daughter started this year in Cegep at Brebeuf in the Science Program. She is a very good student so I never had to contact the school for any matter. This morning was the first time I had to talk to somebody at the school and the experience was extremely frustrating. I called them to explain my daughter was sick and she did not know what to do since she was supposed to have an evaluation the same day. The secretary answered me on a very dry tone saying that the procedure for when one is sick is written in my daughter's agenda. I told her that my daughter was not in a condition to read her agenda and she answered back saying that my daughter could read her agenda when she feels better. I asked her one more question about the pertinence to present a doctor's note and she gave me the same robotic answer that this info is also written in my daughter's agenda. I was SO shocked by this attitude and lack of help and empathy. You definitively do not expect this attitude from the staff when you pay a private college. I was planning to register my other kids to this school in the future but there are so many good private schools in Montreal to choose from that I will not make the same mistake again. Why even consider this school when they hire robots instead of helpful secretaries?
It was a very tough school, but I’m comparison it made going through university a breeze. Serge Campagna, Ethics and Law teaching, to me was the greatest professor I’ve ever had. To this day, almost 20 years later, I find myself reaching out to principles learned in his class. I have very fond memories from my college years at Brebeuf Brebz. I loved my experience and I’m absolutely grateful for it.
I like the school. The teachers are... Interesting, but most of them always have a class's pet, which I honestly HATE. But most of the students are really nice and I've met some people with who I'll keep a friendship with for a long time. There's also a lot of sports such as la Crosse, fencing, basketball, volleyball, soccer, football. And the students are really hardworking. No wonder why it's placed 1st
