Notre-Dame High School

We are in month 3 of our first year at Notre Dame. I am pretty old school in my educational beliefs so the whole bullying boom kind of bothered me. That being said bullying is RAMPANT at all levels with ZERO support from the school.nThey preach a firm attitude for appropriate behaviou and dress yet at Halloween 3 sec II girls dressed up as strippers with bills taped to their bodies...again zero consequeneces.nAttempting to contact teachers at staff?? I'm still waiting after multiple attempts for basic info.nYes the gym is beautiful but having an older child who finished high school in the public system; Notre Dame is a complete waste of my money.nI'm really regretting sending my child there.

Ok school, but there needs to be a greater focus on diversity. I had a good time there, but education wise I was held back by most French Quebecer teachers. I would not recommend this school to foreign families.

From my experience, Notre Dame felt like an overly prideful school while not providing that much for the students. Caring about weird rules such as the colours of your socks, folding the end of your pants, forbidding to wear converse shoes in winter… Although some teachers were really nice, the overall vibe I got of this school was stuck up. If a school was truly open, it would not need anything to boost their egos, like making sure to get first place as the donator of hospital St-Justine. What is the point of donation if it does not truly come from one’s heart? Everybody knows you are using students as means to look nice in public while you are not even providing that much for the students. I am sure there are many staffs who try their best to make this school better, and I truly appreciate that, I hope this school continues to strive being more open, not just in terms of rules or anything else in specific, but in truly everything. This is something I strive for as well, I hope we can work hard together in that aspect.

Ngl this is the best school in terms of location and architecture also the new gymnasium is quite beautiful the history teachers in my opinion are the best. Out of ten, I would give a solid 9.1/10

My two sons were at this school and the results are as the following:nOldest is an engineer and the youngest is at McGill university studying mechanical engineering, both are athletes and love sports.nThis school is part of our success.
