Expensive! But lots of fun. Don't take the zodiac boat tour. Take the 62 foot aluminum boat tour. It's just as much fun and you can walk around all over the place. Plus they won't force you to wear a survival suit, which are super hot to wear in the summer sun.

We had so much fun!!! we saw whales & otters! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. They explain things so well with details; These guides definitely make your experience better! Even if it is nice out when you are walking around, once you go out to the sea it gets cold especially with the wind from the boat travelling fast. Wear warm clothes and a jacket!! They provide you complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate. They also have blankets too.

We really weren't sure whether this would be worth the price, but we went for it and took the Ocean Magic II tour. We saw a pod of orcas and had plenty of time to watch them. It was very special - totally worth it. Jen, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and offered lots of opportunities for questions and conversation. She could tell us about the specific orcas we saw and also made sure the whale-free bits of the trip were enjoyable.

It was a fantastic day with Rush as our skipper. The boys went beyond to see the Orcas. Great Job guys, the school class had a blast.

We went out later in the afternoon for a whale watching tour. We did not find the whales but Austin was an excellent guide. He tried very hard to locate the whales and still took our group for a beautiful tour along the coastline to Sooke and many other amazing attractions for a couple of hours. We saw lighthouse islands with sea lions of all sorts and sizes and other attractions as well. Even though we did not spot the whales, the Zodiac boat ride for 2.5 hrs was worth every minute. Plus, our next Zodiac trip is FREE to go find the whales. We are looking forward to going again!!
