THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! best place I've ever gotten smoked meat from. Outside of the amazing taste of the food, they give you little sauces for your various items. My friend had dental work done and couldn't eat the brisket VERY TENDER BTW And they chopped her up some extra so she could. The customer service here is unbeatable. Will definitely Return.
Great bbq joint, large fries, great brisket sandwich. The spicy BBQ was solid flavor. The liquid gold was OK, I felt the flavor was a little washed out, that could be due to the strong flavors in the bbq sauce and brisket. Great place to to eat, add it to your visit list.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Great food, friendly staff. Got the 1 Meat plate with Brisket, Cornbread, and sweet potato tots. Cornbread, was fire and the brisket was pretty good! Tots were tasty too. Plate could almost be split between 2 people; there was pleanty of meat! Only thing I would improve on is making the brisket a bit less on the dry side and more towards melt in your mouth and it would be a 5 star meal
Love this place. People are friendly, food is delicious!! Visited again today. Hours are limited so we aren't able to come as often as we like. Regardless, the experience is the same as the review I left 11 months ago. The people are great. The service is fast. The food is DELICIOUS! This place is a hidden gem . The brisket is very good. The sidewinder fries and liquid gold are incredible. Pickles are delicious. Zero complaints. Love this place. Top 3 BBQ places in NWI for sure.
Food was pretty good overall. I got the Wilbur pulled pork sandwich. It was a little dry but overall not bad. But the cashier was very rude. I’ve never been there before and when she listed off the BBQ sauces that I could choose from for my order, she said “regular, spicy and vinegar”. I asked if the regular is a sweeter BBQ. She looked at me like I was an idiot and said “I mean it’s BBQ sauce”. I said that I understood but I haven’t been to this one before so I was just asking. She said “I don’t know to explain what BBQ sauce tastes like” in a very rude tone. And the pointed to the sign above her and said “the descriptions of the sauces are right there”. She continued being very snippy while taking our order. Maybe this was a dumb question for her. But I’ve worked in costumer service for 8 years and no matter how dumb a question may seem to me, I’ll always try to understand what a costumer is asking and try to find a nice way to answer them. I never make reviews, but that was really uncalled for.
Excellent food and outstanding service. The jammin wings are delicious and make you want to come back for more. Chef Jason has done an incredible job with the menu, the sides are so good, you can’t just choose one.
Excellent Texas BBQ, ALWAYS! "Brunch On This" December's special creation was fantastic! And as always, the Sidewinder Fries, Liquid Gold and Cornbread... much YUM!
Literally the best BBQ around. If you want ribs, brisket, pulled pork, etc. this is the place for you. The seating is a quite small so be prepared to take the food elsewhere to eat but I promise you it's worth it. They also do catering!
I've carried out from here twice and both times it was amazing. This is the best BBQ around in the state of Indiana. Be prepared to pay for it, it's somewhat expensive. Certain days they have specials and the wings ARE AMAZING. Ribs and Brisket are on point as well. Any criticism I could give would be they need larger drink cups and more room to dine in. The parking also isn't great but just take it to go!!!!!
Best BBQ in NWI hands down, so happy it’s in Valpo! They sell out regularly, so if you’re set on something, get here early. Their brisket sandwich is my favorite, but their ribs and chicken wings are also standouts. I love the sweet potato tots and my boyfriend is a huge fan of the side winders their version of French fries, dipped in liquid gold cheese sauce of course. Their current cornbread recipe is also delicious. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here, and the service matches the food! A father-son duo run the business and they literally make magic happen! As a plus, Bob is always super friendly and comes around to check on guests! It is small inside if you plan to dine in, but we’ve never gone anticipating dine in and had to leave due to space.
