I'm giving the review of 3/5 as they did the job as requested. I wouldn't say much in terms of customer service, as without the ticket they provide to you during drop off, it doesn't seem like they're willing to search or help locate the tool or invoice. I appreciate I didn't have the ticket on me, but when asking her if we could search via phone number or name, she didn't seem very hopeful, but tried anyways. She wasn't able to locate it using my full name or business name, and simply said there's nothing she can do without the ticket. I didn't argue and went to my vehicle to locate it, luckily enough I did find it. I think that's what upset me more then anything, because once I provided her the ticket, she interuped me and said "Ah it was just under Peter". I provided her my full name, so I'm sure she could've located it if she wanted to put more effort in, but I'm not here to tell her how to run her business. The tool repair was fine, it was dropped off during Nov '21, and was repaired by Jan.28 from the notes on the invoice. The only time I ever received any notification it was ready for pick up was via text on March 28. Made me wonder, if it was a landline that didn't accept a text, what would've happened? As they clearly state after 60 days, they will sell your tool to cover the cost of repairs. Lastly, the tool was much dirtier then when I dropped it off, as I remember cleaning it before dropping it off, simply out of professional courtesy. Like I mentioned earlier, they did the job that was asked, but outside of that, I wasn't happy with the service. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was dealing with someone difficult before I came in, or had a bad morning. Moving forward, I wouldn't be running back to them as my first option for repairs, but if I do, I'll be sure to keep my ticket in a safe place and follow up on my own accord. Thank you for servicing my tool, and I genuinely hope you can take the feedback knowing there is no such ill intent on my part. All the best, Peter.
I'm a very happy first-time customer at this place. They fixed my Ridgid Thickness Planer with a very reasonable turnaround time. Everyone I came into contact with, over the phone or in person, was helpful. They help you with the loading and unloading of your heavy machine from your car. I've been much impressed by their front desk staff member A. who is genuinely cheerful with a helpful attitude. With such a good first impression, I'll go to this shop when any of my woodworking machines needs servicing in the future.
I purchased an item from Home Depot, and it was past their 3 month warranty. Home Depot advised me that the local repair place to get the sprayer serviced through the brands 1 year warranty was power tool clinic. It has been over 5 months now that I’ve been waiting for them to fix it, and called them over 10 times now, and half of the time they told me that they’re still waiting on parts for it, the other times I’ve called they said it should be fixed shortly and they would call me back with an update. Not once have they called me back, and not once have they told me an approximate timeframe that the parts would arrive. I’m starting to wonder if they lost my machine at this point not exaggerating. Nothing should take 5 months for parts to arrive. And I don’t believe there’s a reason why A company shouldn’t be able to at least have some sort of tracking number with an approximate eta for parts that are ordered. It’s pathetic at this point. And also I have to add that Every time I call, there’s a few employees I talk to, most of them are polite for the most part, but the female who answers the phone is always very very rude, and not helpful in the slightest way. If there’s another option out there to get a tool/machine etc fixed through your warranty, stay far away from this one, as they have been nothing short of useless with every single interaction I’ve had with them.
I had a good experience. Had a simple repair done promptly. The technician good explained and friendly, helpful, and professional.
don't buy ridgid power tools having worst warranty experience so called #lifetimewarranty even after using it for only a few months. After waiting more than 90 days now repair center #powertoolklinic and #Ridgid changed their words of 90 days policy that they can't place replacement for Saw and I have to wait more weeks #homedepot as #Mitresaw #ridgidpowertools #Ridgid power tools Canada
I dropped off a dewalt angle grinder to change the brushes, they replaced the cord & plug for no reason & put on a shorter cord & charged 25.00, when I took it in the grinder was working fine, at least have some sense & put the same length of cord that I had on when I brought it in if ur going to charge me.
Last year I had a panduit crimper sent out for repair at this shop. They indicated that since it was under a year warranty, that a new one would be shipped in its place. The new one arrived but was broken out of the box. This tool was sent back outside of their 30 day warranty and I had to pay nearly $400 to have this "brand new" tool repaired. Not terribly impressed.
I went in to get warranty work completed on a failed connector for a Ryobi Pressure washer. They did the work and it failed again. Went back again to get the repair done, they advised they cannot do it unless I have a receipt. I had lost my receipt, which I understand is my fault. However, I picked up my washer and they lost the gun. The lady over the phone said that I never gave them the gun. This is a blatant lie, as why would I give a pressure washer without the gun, how would you be able to test it without one? Even for the first repair I was asked to drop the gun with it. I am not sure who to blame here, they lost it, someone stole it... Poor service. Have lodged an official complaint to Ryobi directly. Pick up your standards and own up to it. It goes a long way for a business to survive in these times. Thank you
Non refundable deposit required, I was basically quoted what the product is priced brand new. Went to another repair shop for a fraction of the cost.
Was quoted nearly $150 to repair a drill. 30 minutes minimum labour, likely 1 hour . I Was told to buy a new one, and its not worth repair. I went home. YouTubed a video. Easy easy to do myself in 5 minutes. Ordered the part for $26 and my drill is working just fine again. I'm sure this place would be worth getting a valuable tool repaired but It would have been nice to see a fair price for my minor repair.
