very very bad experience we have ever had. we lived in a very old house on rent for 10 months. as the house looks 100 years old,there were always something for maintenance but Power property never came to repair or maintenance. 4 months ago we received an email that owner is going to renovate the house and we have to move from this house . So we tried our best to get our full deposit back . we hired a cleaning company to clean a house but the power property didn't like the cleaning . we painted the house too. they were not returning our deposit so we sent them many emails and today they send just $1300 and the deposit was $1700. These guys just took our money without any reason . we are in low income with 3 kids . WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK. we are now going to court for justice and take action against them if they won't return our deposit. plz guys don't believe on them
Abigael is always friendly and helpful, very understanding. Anil has always been quick to respond when I have concerns and questions. During my 4 years as a tenant, I have been well taken care of by these 2 and the rest of the Power Properties team. Thank you!
Went through multiple different people managing the property I was in for the past 2 years. Owners ended up selling it. No one had a clue what was going on. Very poor management. Very poor communication. They seem to just pass any complaints down the line and do nothing about it. After moving out they took 100% of the damage deposit and added more charges. Would highly recommend to STAY AWAY from any property this company runs.
I had a great experience with Power Properties! The entire team has been excellent to work with! I would highly recommend Power Properties for any looking at property management companies in Calgary!
ORIGINAL REVIEW : 2 Major appliances have broken in the first month of moving in, and the furnace has shut down twice. They are extremely bad at answering the phone/email as I cannot receive a reply to fix my furnace. It's the middle of winter. UPDATED REVIEW : A part of their automated email system had failed, and the manager I spoke with proposed a solution and was motivated to fix it. I had also read and understood the instructions for where to contact them in case of emergency incorrectly; and have made a suggestion for them to adjust the copy in the tenant portal to prevent people like me from misunderstanding in the future. Since figuring out the communication issue they've promptly made steps to fix the problems that the rental has been having.
Booked a viewing for one of their properties with my girlfriend. They randomly changed our viewing time without any explanation or reasoning. We moved around our schedule to make sure we could still attend the viewing. After driving across the city we arrived to a poorly maintained home and waited 20 minutes after the arranged viewing time for an agent to show up. We attempted to ring the door bell and call the company multiple times without any response. We were not the only couple waiting for the viewing either, there were multiple people waiting with us. A very poor first impression, we will be avoiding this company for any prospective rentals.
I’m currently renting a house from Power Properties. I can feel this is a very professional property management company. I can always get prompt response from them when I have any questions or have repair requests.
I would not recommend letting them manage your property. House sat vacant for months and they would constantly demand that rental prices be lowered. It got to the point where it was below market rent and they still couldn't get it rented! This on top of management fee's for doing nothing!!!
Great team at Power Properties. Really helpful with answering my questions and walking me through the set up process for my new place. Would recommend.
Terrible experience with them. They take forever to respond. Once they do finally get back to you - they send you an automated text back advising you to book an appointment. My appointment was changed twice and I finally found an appointment for 12pm on one of the rentals I was eager to view. I drove 30 minutes to go and view a property taking time off work only to arrive and receive a text message stating that they had re-scheduled my viewing for 2 days later. No contact information - basically take it or leave it. I finally found a number after digging through the depths of google, and called as everything is automated from them and told them my frustration with having had my viewing cancelled 20 mins before my appointment. Who ever I spoke with basically said "yeah, sorry the realtor is busy". I canceled my following appointment. I will never book a property from this company and definitely not recommend it. Please work on your communication as a company going forward. also - reading all the other bad reviews on them - they seem to have a lot of excuses, i.e. 'busy' end of the month. If that's the case hire more or manage your time better. You are losing out on some very great renters.
