Powder Keg Gun Shop

Very knowledgeable guy! He may not have the biggest selection on guns (well over 100 so not small) but they range from guns made in the 1800's up to current firearms and some extremely unique/rare gun items you'll never find in any other store, possibly not even online. Plus, it's a mom and pop's store , I'd rather give my money to a place like that over the big guys. Keep up the good work Mr. Casper ! ----FedEx Joe

I called before I drove up there to see if they had the ammo I was looking for. Walt the owner told me he had 3 brands in stock. I replied cool I will see you soon. Later that day I went in and asked for 2 different brands. The very disrespectful kid behind the counter told me he would only sell one box because he can't get anymore. Plus they wanted 25% more per box than any other store in Howell. This store is a rip off. I will never step foot in there again!

I have dealt with Walt for quite a few years. Once you get to know him he is a great guy. You have to remember he is a small dealer and doesn't get the same discounts as the big box stores so has a difficult time selling at big box prices. I agree he can be cranky sometimes, But for the most part he is easy to deal with. He will treat you well if you treat him well. I recommend that you give him a chance and over time you will be surprised really how nice he can be.

Don't give these people your business!!!!! Its not worth the headache!!!! I took my pistol there to have some work done on it. It was there for almost two months waiting for a spring for the trigger. I got tired of waiting so I told them to cancel the order if they could. They said that they couldn't but they could use the spring on another pistol. When I went in to pick my pistol up they wanted to charge $10.00 for leaving it there. I said I didn't think I should have to pay considering that it sat there for two months and they did nothing to it!!! I was told to take my gun and leave!!!! What a waste of time!!!!! I would recommend staying clear of the Powder Keg. They are slow and don't want to do business!!!!!
