POW Pizza

We got the wagyu pepperoni pizza size small, its good for two people! Very hefty and deep dish indeed! Delicious crust with a good amount of toppings. Nice thick crust that is fluffy too. Staff are very friendly and service is great. Took about 30 minutes from time to order for pizza to be ready due to being freshly made. They have a nice fire pit outside for people to enjoy. One of the only restaurants in Calgary that isn’t a sheep…thanks again!

Ordered the Italian street meat pizza. It was okay. The pizza had a really good crust however the sauce was a bit sour. They put a lot of the sauce on the pizza and really overwhelms the taste of the pizza. I felt it did not need that much sauce. Also I ordered the garlic aioli however the packaging creeped me out as there was no seal to ensure it wasn't opened ordered on doordash. Feel the price of the pizza was a big high for what you get. There are many other better pizza places in Calgary for this price point.

I’ve ordered from POW twice now and have not been impressed. The first time, the pizza was burnt, and had one dollop of sauce in the corner. It was clear that the kitchen did not want to be working that day and took it out on my order. I ended up sending pictures to SkipTheDishes and getting a full refund. I thought I would try it again yesterday, and while it was prepared much better, I ended up finding a large piece of onion skin halfway though a slice... The small pie was $25, and was a mere 8”x10”, which barely fed two people. At that price point, I really would expect better quality assurance. Flavourwise, it does taste good, and is “Detroit style”, but overall does not taste significantly better than most thick crust places in Calgary, which are cheaper and do not make careless mistakes like the ones I mentioned above. Do yourself a favour and order elsewhere. Being disappointed twice is enough for me to not order from them again.

POW! Right in the mouth...Really great pizza. Worth a try if you like deep dish. All ingredients were fresh and good quality. Highly recommend.

POW! Is exactly what happened to my taste buds. I'm a big fan of Italian thin crust pizza and have tended to avoid big crust as they seemed like a cheap filler to me and usually accompanied low quality ingredients. The Italian Street meat pizza, visually looks delicious and is delicious! Never had anything like it. The crust is thick, but you bite down into a cloud of crispiness after hitting all that flavor from above it almost startled me. Thank you for this new experience

This little gem is tucked away in Renfrew in an unexpected location; blink and you’ll miss it. It is take out only, though they have a lovely fire pit and picnic table outside. The menu is very small and fairly pricey, though the pizzas are creative and heavy on quality toppings. The pizzas are not large in diameter but they are filling. The crust is thick and crispy, and the toppings are well portioned. All together very satisfying.

First time here and we ordered the large because we had no idea what the portion sizes were. Well, a large was MORE than enough for the two of us. It comes with 8 thick boi slices, of which we only ate 4 for dinner. First thoughts when I had the pizza handed to me through the takeout window was "Damn, that's heavy!" The delicious aroma of our "Pandemic" flavour pizza tantalized us the entire drive home. Luckily we only live 10 minutes away, and we dug into this doughy, cheesy, flavourful pie as soon as we got home. There was a solid amount of pistachios and cheese both pricey toppings. The dough was nice and thick. The crust was probably the best part – so crispy and yummy. My only complaint and why I docked a star is that I wish it was spicier. I barely tasted the jalapeños, and would have loved a bit of heat to offset the sweetness of the honey.

Very surprised by the big pizza in the the little box! And heavy! Loved the crust and baked cheese. Had the Haute Renfrew because I like pizza, but sometimes I like something different. It was like eating a stuffed baked potato on an amazing pizza crust. Very filling - two pieces is almost too much! Great to share and that's the smaller size. Highly recommend to those who like deep pizza with crunchy crust and a load of toppings.

Awesome deep dish pizza, great find. More filling than you expect. The crispy cheese around the edge is amazing. We had the Donair and pepperoni pizzas, had to come back the next week for more. My kids are always picky, but they loved this pizza, said it was the best.

First time there. My order took 1 hour and 10 minutes, as staff didnt get my order right the first time, and had to wait extra they were nice about it tho, I understand how busy they are. The food was really good tho, nothing like other pizzas I had before, and ten times better that any Chicago deep dish. I ordered small pandemic pizza, I loved how saturated the crust was with sauces, this pizza had honey in it therefore was a bit sweet. I liked the cheese they use, block cheese, NOT super salty like other places, you can actually taste the milk and real cheese flavor. The right amount of cold cut meat was used. The wait time kinda ruined the mood a little bit, but I'll be back to try the other kinds, they definitely got something good going on.
