Great store for home decor! Lots to see and I enjoy seeing their displays. Some good sale prices were on during this visit. Everything from furnishings to seasonal items. Definitely a higher end retailer. Multiple floors at this location. Engaged staff were helpful.
The company service is very poor. I was waiting for 3 months for a bed delivery. When it was delivered the legs were different shape and heights. Since they're different heights, the frame is not standing fully on the floor, therefore we cannot place a mattress on top of it. We contacted support at the same day of delivery. It's been 10 days since the delivery, nobody called us back from the support. When we called to the company twice, they replied to us to wait for the call from the support. It delays our moving to a new place.
Terrible customer service and rude staff. We went there to purchase a rug. There were 2 employees busy with clients upstairs. I said hello to them several times and they saw me but none of them said “hi” or “we’ll be right with you”. We waited for good 10 minutes and still none of the staff made any eye contact with us. I went and told one of them if someone can please help us? She answered by saying we’re busy. I asked her to call someone from downstairs and she did. I expressed my concern to the manager and he just said we can’t change people!!! Later I showed him my selected rug on the display and he said they don’t have anything available at the store and he was very discouraging! He also told me even if you ordered online there would be a huge shipping fee!! So we decided to leave the store with no satisfaction! My husband and I just purchased the rug online! The staff should be more enthusiastic about their job and have better quality of service!!
I bought 2 sets of dinnerware here 8 of everything - bowls, mugs, dinner plates and salad plates 4 of the salad plates are different because they switched suppliers but still advertise them as the same on their website. They'll only return or refund me for 1 set. Will never shop here again.
Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a king sheet set and they sent me a queen fitted sheet. I just bought a new bed and wanted a nice new sheet set to go with it, sheets are expensive and I don’t need to buy multiple sheet sets at this point. So I am currently utilizing the flat sheet as the fitted sheet and they will not send me a replacement without first receiving the old sheets. Pottery barn screwed up and they would like to inconvenience me more than the already have. Why don’t you own up to your mistake and do one of two appropriate things - refund me for sending me something incorrectly that I paid good money for or send me a new sheet set. Don’t buy from pottery barn because they’ll screw your order up and they won’t fix it. Worst customer service ever.
Unhelpful staff, worst system, never shopping here again. Came to pick up an online order which I received the ready-for-pick-up email two days ago. Cashier told me it would take 10 minutes because they are "picking it up"? I clarify I received the email 2 days ago thinking she misunderstood that I just got the email . She rudely responds. It's not until 15 minutes later I hear her ask someone on earpiece COMMS for my online order and 30seconds after that another employee brings it down. The store was not busy at all so I have no clue why she made me wait the initial 15 minutes. Another poor customer ahead of me wanted to do a return and this same cashier told him to "go find the manager" - preposterous! I get way better service at Wal-Mart so much rather spend my money there.
Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids are located side by side in Yorkdale Mall. Both have a good selections of furniture, linen and other home decoration items. While on the pricy side, they are of good quality and last a long time. I bought kids' school bags from there and the bags are still in very good conditions after 7 years of use! The organic cotton bed sheet for kids are also fantastic in terms of durability and softness.
Customer service experience buying and returning products online was horrible. I cancelled my order online by email 5 minutes after placing it, and received a response within minutes telling me that my order was too far along to be cancelled. I was told I would have to receive the products to then request a refund to receive a shipping slip. A month later I've only received one item, and it has been taking up space in my already small business collecting dust in the corner. Turns our the second item failed to deliver and was waiting at a depot which I then had to drive out of my way to pick up. I was charged $45 dollars for shipping the items for which I cancelled immediately. When I finally had both items in hand and requested my refund, they said they would be subtracting another $30 from my refund in order to cover the cost of my return. This was never mentioned before. Now we're at $75 for an order I never wanted to receive. Instead I drove to the store, wasting additional time and gas money to return items in-store that I never wanted. When I asked the store manager to credit the $45 shipping, he said there was nothing he could do. When I asked for a store-credit or anything at all to cover me for the $45, I was told again there was nothing that could be done. This entire circumstance was asbusrd. I will never shop at Pottery Barn or purchase Williams-Sonoma products again and I will be warning everyone I know to avoid this company. Great work team.
Great customer service although more on the expensive side. I purchased a duvet cover in a King size online but later changed my mind and decided to get a queen insert. I called the store and Susana helped me exchange my online purchase with ease and even wrapped it nicely. However, please avoid one lady she has an Eastern European or Russian accent I believe as when I approached her with a simple question, she responded with “I don’t know what you mean” very rudely. Other than that great!
I've purchased $6000 furniture in September 2021, finally I received them all in September 2022 A year long wait time!. PB deserve an award for providing the most unbelievably terrible services. 1. Had to call many times to PB us office 1-800.. to check the status, nobody knows if they are with furniture maker? on transit? with custom? with shipping company? their classic line is - we don't have control over... 2. PB never notified me about any delays and any status changes. they will let you guess or call them to find out...they said they would send you an email...I have never received any information about my furniture. tons of promo ads though. 3. if you order any customized pieces, be careful, it wont be cancelled even if PB can't deliver them on time. One sale shared with me that she accidently placed an order for a customer, she could not refund it on the spot right after the transaction because of the PB policy.
