The place is lovely, easy to get to. The staff are outstanding, they're attentive and patient. But I had the French dip Baguette and fries. The beef was lovely, the bread was lovely and the fries were great. The dip however, had so much salt in it, I had to check with my sister in law who'd had the same to make sure it wasn't just mine. It definitely made you pucker. There was a LOT of salt. My two boys loved their food though. Kid-friendliness: Took a while longer to get his food, but he loved it. Chicken tenders, can't go wrong. Parking: Loads of parking, around the side and back, easy to get to from two main roads.
This is a great family restaurant! Beautifully restored and decorated, great service, good prices, and the food is awesome! Had a gyro and fries. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the veggies were crisp and fresh.
This is a decent egg salad sandwich. Great consistency, good mayo levels. Could use more salt and a pinch more mustard… and I always wish we had some diced white onion and/or diced celery in the salad itself. But overall it ate well; too many times I’ve bitten into an egg salad sandwich and 80% of it spilled out the other side. This is a very important factor into my rating. Egg salad 3/5. Adding a star to the review for the wonderful staff and atmosphere.
Great diner in the capital region. They take reservations for parties over 6 guest but still expect to wait a few minutes on the weekends as the place is always hopping. Good American diner fare with decent prices and great service.Food: 5/5
I could not love a diner more. I have been coming here over a year about 5 days a week. It feels like family, you know that the food is always going to be so good. Shoutout to Lauren for being the best waitress turned friend and just an overall ray of sunshine no matter how my day is going. This is a place to make memories and have a great meal.
A classic diner with a classic menu. Service was friendly and attentive. The patty melt was probably the most carefully constructed I ever had i.e. not messy or overly greasy and it was very tasty. The grilled onions on it were particularly good. Plenty of parking in back. Cole slaw tasted like it had pineapple juice in it. A common recipe but not my favorite.
My husband and I went here for the first time and loved it! After a short wait, we were seated in a big, comfortable booth by the window, where we were treated to good people-watching, a wide-ranging menu with several adult bevarage options nice wine list!, and tasty entrèes and desserts. The coffee was hot and satisying, our server was friendly and efficient, the portions were plentiful, the dining room was bright and buzzing, and the workers were sweet -- they bantered with us on our way out and welcomed our return. Glad to have finally found a good diner close to home! Parking: Big parking lot but may fill during busy times
I was in NY for 2 weeks, visiting family. We are here about 4 times. Love this place!! The fries are the best! Try them with their amazing ranch dressing. Great sandwiches and best biscuits n gravy I've ever had. Sausage is really good too. Oh, and a MUST TRY: grilled muffin!!
Absolutely loved the food. Their chili was the best I've had in a very long time. Very clean inside and out with a very friendly staff. We spent $100 for a party of three adults and one child, tip included, and we were completely satisfied with the entire experience. We definitely plan on going back again soon. This is our new neighborhood spot to go out for a bite. Kid-friendliness: They were extremely friendly with our 5 year old Granddaughter and let her place her own order from the kids menu.
Very very good breakfast here. I told the manager the same. I would come back again if I lived closer. Our server Lauren was great.
