Port of Subs

Like subway but better. I got a ham, turkey and provolone on sourdough. They have different bread options available; white, wheat and wraps. Didn't really see a spot to eat in, so took it to go and ate in my car. Sandwich was good, a little messy and I forgot to grab napkins.Takeout: Yes

I have to be honest and say that Port of Subs is...okay. It really is okay. I had a BBQ chicken hot sub. The sandwich was adequate, the chicken tasted fine, nothing was really wrong or right with it. It was very bland. The service was kind of painful, and seemed to lack initiative. My mom had a sandwich herself, and was finished before my sandwich. In this, we were rung up and paid for before my sandwich was done and they didn't even give my mom her sandwich, saying they thought it was an online order. After only eating a half of my 12" sub, we decided to purchase a double chocolate cookie. Big flop. It was stale and lacked the chocolatey goodness we were expecting. This review isn't even really worth writing, but I figured I'd share. I wouldn't say go or don't go either way, but if you're looking for sustenance, this is the place to go!

I just had the most outstanding turkey bacon avocado sandwich of my life. The sandwich lady who made it Petra was extremely fast, careful, and somehow made a to-go sandwich shop sub taste better than any other I've had. I was impressed by all the staff, but I definitely plan to come back based on Petra's excellent service.

Fresh cut meats and cheeses. Nice and friendly staff. Very clean and I say washing hands and changing gloves often while I was there in my short period. Which made me even more impressed. 5 stars

It’s really awkward and uncomfortable when the lady Annie or Anne is making your sandwich and calling another worker who was not there to defend himself “self righteous” because of his religious beliefs, beliefs that in fact you share with him. I understand religion isn’t for everyone, but to talk about something so incredibly sensitive with customers in the store is beyond disgusting and insulting and unprofessional. There were two other workers in there and no one had the idea to maybe stop her. I myself share the same religious beliefs as the worker she was talking bad about. Thanks Port Of Subs…

I wish the pepperochinni bread was still around sadly. Great food, good team that greets you and helps you build your lunch or dinner. Always consistent and good.Food: 5/5

I went into the Lakeway location around 1pm-ish today and it was slammed! I've been going there for years and have never seen it as busy as it was today. There were some people in front of me in line and the one paying at the cash register was complaining to the employee about an online receipt or something. It's a little shocking to me that someone can get upset about something that miniscule and to treat the employees that way is wrong. The three that were behind the counter were very clearly doing their best and working their hardest considering the circumstances; I also imagine having a long line of customers just staring at them doesn't help the pressure. I wish I could have given my appreciation to them in person but didn't want to take away from their work or make things awkward, but if any of you from that location are reading this, I saw how hard you were working and was impressed with how you handled that massive lunch rush and online orders. That job can't be easy, especially at peak times, and people love to complain; it seems positive feedback is not common these days, so I hope you see this and know at least one person noticed your hard work, patience, and calmness in that chaos.

Consistently quality sandwiches. Staff is friendly and defines customer service. Glad I found them, way better then subway.

Great sandwich. Very carefully placed vegetables. The bread was baked to perfection. 10/10 will come back. Staff is very friendly and demonstrates unparalleled teamwork. My favorite sandwich shop. I will return here for my meals anytime I am in town. Photo of my brother smashing the 2 foot challenge
